Geraldine Ferraro, a former Democratic vice-presidential nominee, had come under blistering fire for comments she made about Barack Obama.

    also conveniently ignore the fact that the press can make a hero or villan out of whomever they choose, regardless of race. That her first instinct was to attribute his success to his skin color shows how her sorry old mind works. Of course, that assumes that she spoke out of instinct and not as part of a larger strategy.
