In a closed-door meeting with Sen. Reid and Rep. Pelosi, the DNC chairman said a continuing nomination battle could hurt the party's chances in November.
  • I'm not convinced

I don't know if I'm convinced that a long primary season will hurt the democrats. By the turnout numbers there is obviously an energized party, and there are two quite viable candidates.

I could be wrong, but I don't see a huge problem with this. The conventional wisdom says otherwise, but conventional wisdom would not have predicted that a woman and a black man would be fighting it out for a major party's nomination.

I say let them fight it out. Keep McCain's focus out-of-whack and sharpen skills for the general election, which will see some true nastiness.
