"I honestly never heard that point before about Obama saying his voters wouldn't cross over."
Obama did say something to that effect very early on in the primaries. I cannot remember whether it was NH or Nevada, but he did make a statement that Hillary's supporters would vote for Obama, but he "wasn't sure" if Obama supporters would vote for Hillary should she win the contest.
Of course this could have been taken out of context and also in the heat of accusations flying around that the Clintons had injected race into their campaign.
Obama has been chastened since then. However, Hillary is now being perceived as bringing so much negativity into the campaign that her supporters are now threatening to vote for McCain, 25% of them now, but I am sure, not so many come November.
Whatever happens, Obama or Hillary, the Democratic party has to unite or else this may become Bush's thrid term under McCain.
