Desperation?
Granted it's hyperbole, but some people really need to come up with new words of denigration. The FIRST woman seriously contending for the president of the US cannot ever be described as "desperate".
Nice insight, Alex, "It's spin". Brilliant. Gee whiz just when I thought campaigns put out unbiased news reports.
The purpose of the Clinton memo was to point out that Obama was out-spending her 2 to 1. If he breaks even in those states or loses based on that spending ratio, extrapolating to the general election he'll have to keep up that ratio of spending against McCain to have a chance. That could be a problem since we of course know Obama would never break his promise to accept public financing and will keep his campaign focused on ideas and not spending power. Just like he did in Illinois where he hired lawyers to elimnate other candidates on technicalities - another glowing example of his commitment to the power of ideas.
And yes, it is not good for Clinton to break even in those two states.
But no breaking even or winning slightly, as much as the Obamites would like her to call the game in the third quarter, does not necessarily rule Clinton out. Whatsa matter, afraid Obama can't hang on to the end? Need a break from sending him money? Getting a little "desperate" for it to be over?
