No so good speech
He had done better. I thnk it was hesitating, careful and too long. he seems to be very tired !
Anyway, big win for him. The exit pools give the votes to white women and elders...Clinton people...yet he wins big !
I think he won't have that much trouble in Texas/Ohio.

why thank you socsandtwigs
I like your posts also :)
You know what is also interesting, thus far, Clinton is blowing out all the Repubs put together.
Its like Obama and Clinton are the 2 main parties, and the Republicans are some Third party.

Keep Doubling Down, Hillary!
Hey, maybe you should plan your next firewall in Puerto Rico. Time to go even more negative. It just might work this time!

Nice of Hillary to thank the folks in Wisconsin that did vote for her- 43 or 44 percent is a lot of folks to snub. but she's a poor loser; you'd think she'd improve. She's had enough practice of late. I would think her concession speech would be poetic by now. Oh, that's right. She thinks poetry and hope and vision are naive. In 1776, she would have been a British sympathizer. A wonk is one thing, a weenie another.

in defense of HRC
I don,t think she needs to congradulate every single primary. When it's all over yes, but not every step along the way.

Peeps
From what I've read, it's standard manners/protocol ... now I know she's all about change :)
But seriously, it's not just about acknowledging the loss, it is also about acknowledging the people who worked for her in the state. It would likely go a long way to deal with some of the impressions she is creating ... but hey, in my mind she's the lesser candidate, so I'm fine with her continuing on ...

@ billcap
Yeah, how dare we be ecstatic, gleeful, dancing in our kitchens at the victory of a candidate who has brought a message of hope and dignity, and the human value and ability to contribute of every citizen to the political process? And record numbers of people going to the polls and caucuses--bah humbug!
I'm awfully young, but this is new *in my lifetime,* for people to act and believe like this, like they expect to count for something in the democratic process. Pardon me, I'm excited.
And I was frightened of what might happen to me under Ms. Clinton.
No, I don't think the guy's without ego, self interest, or flaw. I haven't gone around jeering at Clinton supporters. I've been, I believe, rational and honest about why I cannot support Hillary Clinton:
"The American people are not the problem. The American people are the answer." ~Barack Obama
"Young people today think 'work' is a four-letter word." ~Hillary Clinton
Gee, who do I think will value my contributions to this society and give a damn what happens to me?

"I would think her concession speech would be poetic by now. Oh, that's right. She thinks poetry and hope and vision are naive. In 1776, she would have been a British sympathizer. A wonk is one thing, a weenie another."
And I'm going to have to say "OUCH" for Sen. Clinton...
lol

Hillary is ignoring it. Does that mean it didn't happen?
And once again, Hillary pretends that the loss never happened. Not a word in her speech tonight about Wisconsin...nothing.
Acting like Wisconsin is "dead" to her does not reflect well on herself or her judgment. This is politics. You smile, thank your supporters, congratulate the winner, and rally your troops to work doubly hard to beat him in the next race. (Unless you lost the general election, of course, in which case you congratulate the winner, talk about unity, and spend the next four years building up your organization and donor list.)
You don't pretend that nothing happened! It insults the people who worked hard and voted for you, and it insults the intelligence of the public. That's a bad idea all around, and it makes the party look bad too!
Is this how she would deal with adversity as President? Shut her eyes, pretend it never happened, and hope that it goes away? Not a good idea!
If her advisers are recommending this course of action to her, they're doing her no service. If it's just how she prefers to deal with the losses, she shouldn't be running for President.

Are Midwesterners simply less racist than New Yorkers and Californians?
Remember all the innuendo from Salon and other MSM outlets after the Iowa caucuses? The line was that Midwesterners were really bigots, and would not vote for a black candidate if they could cast a secret ballot in a primary. Well, guess what.
To extend the same logic, wouldn't it be fair now to brand "liberal" New York and California with the racist label?
The snide attitudes toward the Midwest coming from the coast-dominated media (and the Clintons) have come home to roost.
We're not bigots.
You are.
Wanna brat, homey?

Nine going on Ten?
Hopefully. The Clintons are getting the business because:
1) They ask for it with their negative chickens**t attacks.
2) They ask for it with their negative chickens**t attacks.
3) They had everything the establishment that doesn't do things named patriot this, heritage that or homeland some other thing had to offer.
4) A clear 51% win with the same old tired problems waiting in the wings strategy that isn't going to get anyone anywhere except the Clintons back in power.
5) The super-delegate controversy (see number 3)
6) The delegates from Michigan.
7) Florida's delegates-Michigan's dumb, but Florida is the breeding ground of stupid political strategies and tragedies. (Is she consulting with Rudy G?) The people of Florida deserve a break. Being a part of something that could never be less than catastrophically controversial is not that break. The Clinton's idea to just seat the delegates is awful, divisive and stupid.
8) Credibility-Hers is waning with each loss. How can she win the Presidency if she can't win in anything but those Super Tuesday States and New Hampshire? Democrats need a broad based win. Remember the red tide that swept over the U.S. in '04? The so called "big" states weren't enough. You've got to win the whole country if you want real change. She can't do that.
9) Bill. His image is close to becoming irrevocably tarnished. I personally just don't like him anymore. It's a shame and it didn't need to happen.
10) Barack Obama supporters aren't as mindful as he is. We don't speak as well and are just beginning to learn how to think differently. We've had negative politicians smearing each other for decades while they're busy getting nothing done. It's all we know, but maybe he'll lead us in a way that will enable us to think differently in the future. What's wrong with hoping for that?
