  • Arm the Sheriff?

    But the "sheriff" was George W. Bush, anonymous. And she knew that when she voted to give him the gun.

    Was she so stupid that she didn't realize he'd abuse it? Because it was obvious to me and a whole lot of other people.

    Or maybe she just decided that if she didn't make that vote, the Republicans would call her "weak on terrorism" in the 2008 Presidential elections. In which case, she cynically traded American lives, treasure, and honor - not to mention the lives of untold numbers of Iraqis - for her own political gain. And how do you square that with her oath of office as a Senator?
