My hope

This will help end the myth that John McCain is a liberal.

Alex, look alive

House Republicans walk out in protest over Democrats' vote to censure Miers and Bolten.

Bushy comes out, sees his shadow, and decides to cancel his "long planned" trip to Africa until Democrats cave in and give him the right to spy on Americans and give blanket immunity to the Telecoms that help him break U.S. law.

So much for discord

Yeah, Romney and McCain hated each other, so we kept hearing. Note to Democrats: GOP are closing ranks around McCain, for all of their windbagging about his "liberalism" -- just a sick joke. Although it would be nice to see the Huckabees sting McCain awhile longer.

Flip-flopper

Romney was a terminal flip-flopper, right? So, he flip-flopped on his hatred of McCain, and now he supports him. There you go.

Wetnoodle

Why would it end talk that McCain is a liberal? It's bizarre that Romney was even putting himself forward as the conservative alternative to McCain. Aside from violating a few high-profile conservative orthodoxies, McCain has always been far more conservative than Romney, who was just more willing to pander shamelessly to the base.

John Edwards?

Likewise, an endorsement of Barack Obama by John Edwards would allow the Democratic Party to keep moving forward toward the general election. We're waiting patiently and, as always, hoping.

Watch closely now

to see what Romney's radio/TV host supporters do. I predict they'll slink away quietly, never admitting that their "golly-gosh-gee-I'm-a-genuine-conservative" hero somehow found it in his conservative heart to endorse the liberal traitor McCain.

The ones to watch are Ingraham, Limbaugh, and Hannity. The slightly-more-slippery Beck and Hewitt obviously favored him but did not endorse, so they won't have to backtrack at all.

that means that his delegates are bound for the first vote only

According to the RNC, 'released endorsed' delegates are bound to the endorsee for only the first vote. After which they are free to vote for whomever they wish. This also means that Romney has officially dropped out of the race not merely suspended it.

If stuff like this keeps happening...

all the blabbermouth broadcasters, defiling the airways, are gonna have one heck of a time deciding who to hate next.

Maybe they can fight among themselves?

Lincoln Chaffee endorsed Obama

Yawn.

CAN WE GET MORE ACTIVE BLOGGING, ALEX?

Not to be annoying, but it would be great if we could have more frequent entries. Even little items here and there. Thanks.

Who was Mitt, again?

Who was Mitt Romney again? He's been out of the news cycle for at least a week -- pretty much forgotten.

Oh, yeah -- he was the Ken doll who went all sorts of ways.

Happy Valentine's Day to George W. Bush from John McCain!

John hearts George.

Boy, that looks like a heartfelt endorsement of some kind or other!

Re: CAN WE GET MORE ACTIVE BLOGGING, ALEX?

I'm trying, John, I swear. But apparently, the laws of physics restrain me to only doing six things at once, and -- among other things -- I'm trying to get some more in-depth reporting for War Room done today. Just hard to balance. I'll try to increase the frequency of posting for the rest of the day.
