Joh Edwards is just like the rest of us
There are pluses on either side of the Democratic primary outcome. I don't view either candidate as unsupportable or unelectible. And given the close race, most democrats have made a tough decision about who to support and many still aren't sure.
Edward's endorsement carries a lot of weight...all those loyal Democrats who are still firmly rooted in his vest pocket. He has to make a measured and thoughtful choice. And it's not a really obvious choice. To characterize his thoughtfulness as some kind of "play" is grossly unfair.
He was, is, and always will be an honest man of undeniable integrity. I'm glad he's doing all the weighing and measuring. He cares about the outcome.
