At a town hall event in Michigan, Hillary Clinton takes the fight directly to Barack Obama.
  • My fear

I fear that come 2011 there will alot of disappointed democrats regardless of who wins (and mark my words they WILL win...there is NO way Methuselah McCain will win. The Dems could run an Inanimate Carbon Rod against him and still thump him...regardless of what the "sky-is-falling-crowd" here will lead you to believe.)

If Hillary wins, I fear that she won't be able to, or will be unwilling to, punish the Republicans for their transgressions...and I suspect that a large percentage of her support comes from this desire for retribution after impeachment, Florida 2000, swiftboats, diebold, FISA, Patriot Act, etc etc ad infinitum. Most likely this would occur with the Dems losing races down ticket...we might win this battle but lose the war.

If Obama wins, I fear that he won't be able to unite the moderates into his vision of America...I think that noise machine will sway public opinion back towards an intractable bunker mentality.

I fear that either way - neither candidate will be able to follow through on their promises and 2012 will be a dark year indeed.

(of course this is just a fear...one I fervently hope does come to pass)
