  • Is There a Story Here?

OK, so the Clinton camp co-opted a McCain advisor for political gain. So what? This is political hardball, baby!

Having said that...didn't husband Bill use the Republican piece of garbage, Dick Morris, as a consultant? And didn't husband Bill use Robert Bennett, brother of Right Wing Hypocrite Supreme, William J. Bennett as one of his defense lawyers during the impeachment fiasco?

Bill and Hill are both Republicans in Democrats' clothing. Fuck 'em both.

  • @Anonymouses

"in case you can't tell us apart."

Uh ya...because you are all Anonymous!

get a name, sign in....why do you insist on being Anonymouses?....it just makes things confusing.

What do you have to hide?

  • It's Going to be the same old...same old

Okay, I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this, but just read what I have to say.

Do you really think that if Senator Obama is nominated that changes will be made that Senator Clinton would not be able to do?

Do you really think that Senator Obama, if President, will have a mind of his own, since he will always be obligated to the senior and junior senators from MA?

Do you really think the candidate with the least amount of experience in government knows what real change will be for the government?

Do you really think that Senator Obama's policies are better for the people of America, than Senator Clinton's?

Do you really know how his healthcare program will work and how it does not cover all Americans, which means we (the taxpayers) will be left holding the bag for those uninsured?

I am going with the democrat I already know and whose policies I agree with. At least we all agree she is a very smart woman and knows the government inside and out.

I just wanted to ask you these questions, because IF Obama is president, then you are not going to get the real change that has been sold to you. It will be the same thing, because you will have the senior senators dictating to who in their eyes will always be the junior senator, no matter what his title may be.

    Best to all!

And may the Democratic Party win the Presidency!

  • @ melthough

    You asked:

How did you decide between Clinton and Obama?

It wasn't easy. I like them both, and I think either one would make a good president. I actually think Hillary would make the better, more capable president, but Obama is more electable and will be more of an inspirational leader rather than a technician. And I contributed to both campaigns.

In the hours before the California primary I settled on Obama because I simply believe that, with his cultish movement, he's easier to elect. He appeals to a broad section of the population, and has proved that he can turn out big numbers. And when my partner made a donation to the Obama campaign it was actually matched by a Republican! I thought that was impressive, and is an indication that Obama might really be able to sweep in with a huge mandate that Clinton would likely lack, due to the mindless madness of Clinton haters nationwide that would limit her appeal.

Imagine, Obama sweeping to victory with a 45 state blow-out. I think it could happen. I don't think Hillary could do the same thing. So, although I think Clinton would make a better president, I am not as confident in her electability and think Obama could come in with a gigantic mandate.

Plus, in the unlikely event that Hillary agreed to be Obama's Veep (in order to "unify the party" in the wake of neither having the necessary delegates to win the nomination outright), I think it would all but guarantee that the White House stayed Democratic for the next 16 years.

Not compelling, perhaps, but that's my reasoning. Policywise, the two are almost identical twins, though they are going to great lengths to point out the differences.

  • @ right wing troll Anon

"And by the way I'm voting McCain now. Let's see how far moveon.nutz gets without white women, Catholics, blue collar workers and hispanics."

Oh, so the Democrats lost your vote? That's a real tragedy. We so wanted your racist, offensive, deceitful self on our team.

(And it's pretty freakin' obvious, from the mangled spelling and "moveon.nutz" BS, that you are all the same Anon.)

  • @ melthough: Supporters of Obama should be the last ones to talk about people not showing up to vote. OBAMA MISSED MORE SENATE VOTES THAN ANY OTHER DEMOCRATIC SENATOR

Maybe you should pick a fight you can win.

You meant to say that Obama showed up for his picture opp yesterday. He was on the senate floor schmoozing with John McCain.

Senator Obama has missed more votes than anyone on the democratic side.

Obama tops the list for the most missed votes by a democrat. Obama missed 178 votes out of 465 total votes. (Where was he???? What are we paying him for???)

Obama ranks just one step below John McCain on the list for missed votes. John McCain has missed more votes of any republican. John McCain missed 257 votes out of 465 votes.

Oh yeah...wasn't it Obama who missed the vote a couple of months back, because he was to busy campaigning?

Come on with your insinuations towards Senator Clinton. She was all the way across the country and has voted more times than Obama.

Senator Clinton obviously takes her job very seriously.

  • Obama's economic plan

Since the original post was about Obama's economic plan, I think I should provide a link to Obama's major economic policy speech which he gave today at a factory in Janesville, Wisconsin. It's long. It's detailed. It's thoughtful. It contains many new ideas. You all should go read it.

    http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/samgrahamfelsen/Cmzm

Please read this speech. No one can read this speech and say that Barack Obama does not have a plan. Because he does.

  • Um wait a minute

So the Clinton camp's point is that there is no real difference between Obama's plan and Hillary's except that Hillary came up with it first and Obama stole it?

So, um, I guess the we should just choose the person who is more electable.

Ok. So beyond appealing to the incredibly powerful outraged english teachers special interest group, I am not real sure how this is helpful. In fact, it might even hurt.

This, along with the debate ad, would really piss me off if I donated to Hillary's campaign. Seriously, they are getting trounced and this is the best they can come up with?
