  • Hillary's Desperation

There have been 18 debates. She wants free air time because Obama is kicking her ample ass both in elections and grassroots fundraising. Bill Clinton's '92 campaign manager endorsed Obama today. Bye, Hillary. Go back to NY and try to get something done- not like ducking the vote on internal illegal espionage yesterday. What a weenie. If she want to pretend to be simpatico with all those latinas, bueno suerte, mujer. Just watch where Bill's keeping his burrito.

  • Change for the sake of change is hopeful because we can hope for change

Thats what I like about Obama supporters - clueless. What is in that kool-aid and how did Obama vote on telcom immunity?

UPDATE V: Final passage in the Senate of the Cheney/Rockefeller bill was 68-29. 19 Democrats joined all Republicans to vote in favor of warrantless eavesdropping and telecom amnesty: Conrad, Rockefeller, Baucus, Webb, Kohl, Whitehouse, Bayh, Johnson, Bill Nelson, Mikulski, McCaskill, Lincoln, Casey, Salazar, Inouye, Ben Nelson, Pryor, Carper, and Landrieu. Neither Obama nor Clinton voted on final passage. -- Glenn Greenwald

...I believe Obama will keep campaign promises (and Hillary wouldn't even try)- Certified Obamite He's a politician - grow up, do something adult today. If you believe that, then rent an apartment from his his slum lord friend Rezco. You know an association like this used to kill a candidate - (see Geraldine Ferraro and her husband Real Estate Developer John Zaccaro). I guess thats what Obamaites mean by change - hooking up with shady real estate developers is no longer an issue.

The answer that we have already had too many debates is schticky politicky. Someone pulls a magic number out their butt and thats it - 3? 5? 7? 2? Hillary and Obama have had how many head to head debates? They are running neck and neck and Obama can't deal with "too many" one to one debates with Hillary? Typical, cowardly politician bull-doo-doo.

W.E.S. nails it again - It's all about Change, unless the old way of doing things serves you better.

  • Let's see

now we are asked to believe Samantha Power

    whoever she is

    that she believes

    Barak Obama

    that he

    'knows the issues,'

    because

    she works for him.

    Good one.

    Like,

    - just believe me

    - and me!

    - and me!

Ano, it's getting late here and I'm getting cross with your careless reading. I made two points: One about Ed Gein - and if there are obsessives like him -I'm sure they couldn't shake the dust of Wisconsin fast enough. The women who were killed and desecrated were also from Wisconsin. However, from what I've read in the last month there seems to be a simmering hatred of women in the US today - that fellow that Joan Walsh was talking about yesterday, Schuster by name, would be out on his ear for good if he were to make a comment about any woman here suggesting moral turpitude (I love that word). There are a lot of you about. I note that you chose to ignore my compliments to the Wisconsin dairy industry. So, on top of twisting my refernce to Ed Gein, you select what suits you. You're partly Irish, are you? I bet you tell that to all the girls. I don't believe you anyway because you are far too po-faced and don't seem to know when people like you are being "sent up" (i.e. having a giggle at your expense). Maybe you're Scots-Irish like John MCain; they are more serious and well-behaved people. Incidentally, one of the reasons I can't stand Obama is all that preachy stuff that brings me out in a rash. Oh, holy St. Brigid, I'd better stop "bad-mouthing" the "handsome young prince from Chicago" ( a la Maureen Dowd). I even said his pointy ears were peculiar and that's blasphemy. Mother of God, I think I hear the banshee (bean sidhe) ululating around the house and that's a terrib;e warning to be sure.

If an associate like Obama/Rezco used to kill a candidate, Bill Clinton never would have been elected and you wouldn't even recognize the name Hillary Rodham Clinton if someone screamed it in your face. Grow up and try to be consistent in your logic today.

  • I Like it

I am from Illinois. I support Hillary Clinton for President because she is the most qualified to implement our vision for a better world. I like the debates. They give me an idea of how the individual thinks about a question, what he/she chooses to focus on and how he/she might fair while negotiating or meeting with other leaders. Of course Senator Clinton is good at it. She has been doing it in the Senate for 6 years.

As for the campaign thing it is an old trick to refuse to debate. I have never liked it. I believe debates are the way to equalize the playing field financially. That's why we protest when folks are excluded. What would you have said if Senator Clinton had refused to debate? Hmmmm

  • samantha power whoever she is

pulitzer prize winning journalist and specialist in genocide who Obama hired in 2005 and currently serves as a foreign policy advisor. In 2006, she helped him to shape legislation to the Congress for Humanitarian aid for the Darfur region and he was able to convince congress and Bush to sign off on it...

Thanks, cecilbeanie for the story about Samantha Power. I've been impressed with her place in his group of advisors for a while. I like to think that the US can resume a place of offering humanitarian aid to countries instead of the hawkish thinking that you have to wage war to prevent war. blech.

  • If he does debate her - he'll mop the floor with her.

He's trying to give her a dignified way out of her embarrassing situation.

  • @ Anonymous @ 2:48: Obama already had a shady past even before he was Senator...

Get real with your comparisons. Former President Clinton did not have a shady past like Senator Obama does, before he was nominated for the presidency.

Face the facts Obama supporters...you are going to be so down and out once the republicans get hold of him.

At least I know Senator Hillary Clinton was not popping pills and snorting cocaine when she was in college. I know who she is and what she is all about.

Don't state such idiotic comments as you did. Face the facts, Obama and Rezko have a relationship and Rezko is now in jail because of what he has done.

No more sweeping these things under the rug.....
