Makes sense
Those who support Huckabee are most prone to faith-based decision-making, I bet. Which is probably why they're with him till the bitter end. McCain appeals to the moderates, some of whom are liable to disagree with him even if they like him, or dislike him even if they agree with him. So he won't command such a passionate following.
And of course, we all know how them God-fearin' folks in America like the underdog, especially a religious one.

Stupid Viginia Latinos!
How DARE they betray their liege, Queen Inevitable!
This wasn't in the script!

Don't forget that the exit poll numbers are updated....
and the night goes on.
For instance, at this time, the exit polls have Obama leading Clinton among all white voters 50-49, statistically a tie.

Experiencing Change
One thing I saw the newsies touting on CBS were exit polls showing over two-thirds of the voters favored "change" over "experience" in their candidate preference, as for their reason for choosing a given candidate, so that bodes well for Obama, whether against Clinton in the primary, or McCain in the general, assuming this carries into other state races.

Uh, the real story would be all the white males
...that voted for him, and not for Hillary. Like, overwhelmingly. So, can we please stop saying that white people won't vote for him? Please?

Whoa!
Obama won the Latino vote? In a primary?
Suddenly that Texas win is looking like an increasingly remote possibility for Ms. Clinton. And her defenders can't spin this one as not counting because it's a caucus, or because Virginia is too white, or because it's too black, or because it's too rich or too poor.
Look for them to start complaining that Hillary was outspent.

@Dave_in_Chapel_Hill
Those numbers include registered repugs and indys. Obama lost white Dems in Virginia by more than 15%. Is this because they're white, or because they're Democrats?
-
@sunspot
You obviously don't understand the situation. You seem to think "Latino" is a monolithic category. Most white folks do, sadly. The Latino vote in Virginia is substantially composed of Central American immigrants, whereas the Latino vote in Texas is mostly Mexican-American. The pattern of voting in Texas is much more likely to follow the pattern of voting in California than in Virginia, at least among "Latinos." Not all Latinos think alike, but all evidence shows, from the Nevada caucus to Arizona and Cali, that Mexican-Americans have not warmed to Obama at all.
Besides, as Josh Marshall posts on TalkingPointsMemo.com:
"We're hearing on the cable shows that Obama won the Latino vote in Virginia 55%-45%. And clearly Obama is having a very good night. But we shouldn't necessarily read that much in to those numbers because Latinos were only 5% of the Democratic primary electorate. So the sample size is just too small to be reliable. So maybe Obama kicked butt among Latinos. But we can't know that from these numbers."

@ Cytheria45
Obama won every county in Washington, even counties with majority and near majority Latino populations. It is being downplayed, I assume, because no exit polling was done to verify. That said, in what scenario does Clinton win the Latino vote in those counties but lose the county? None that bode well for her chances in the remaining contests, I can tell you that.
The right reason to carry on with the primaries is because it has been energizing the party and the American public and every state should get a chance to vote until there is a clear winner.
The wrong reason to carry on with the primaries is because you are counting on identity politics and racial strife to inch you past the finish line.

Another Clinton Supporter Redefines Obama's Success
First, it was "Obama can't win Latinos". Now that he's won the Latino vote, they're suddenly the "wrong kind" of Latinos, and the rest of us just don't understand what "Latino" really means.
Whatever.
