The New York Times columnist says the Democratic race is turning into "Nixonland," and that the Obama campaign verges on a cult of personality.

  • Really?

Year after year white people like Krugman have elected people that they felt they could have "a beer with."

Find me the article where Krugman advocated that.

  • Ck Out Obama Healthcare Hit Piece

Check out the DM piece Obama used in California attacking universal health care and Clinton. It came out just after Obama screwed on TV and said he'd have to fine people that were uninsured and made health care claims (to fix that gap in his non-plan), so he attacked Clinton's plan for fining people, which it doesn't. If this isn't Nixonian what is?

  • So now Krugman is a racist?

All the name-calling and bitter accusations leveled by the Obama campaign and its surrogates demonstrate the kind of divisiveness that causes people to be murdered in other countries when an election doesn't go a certain way. This Obama-mania is getting to be scary, and as Krugman points out, the media lynch mob that follows the Clintons around like Britney paparazzi is only fanning the flames. The sexist/mysognist angle is particularly worrisome, something that was discussed today on The View. Moroever, a biased media operating on Karl Rove talking points prevents a thorough airing of Barack's record in Illinois BEFORE the Democratic nominee is decided. Right now Democrats don't realize how vulnerable he is to swiftboat attacks in the fall. His long-time fundraiser, Tony Rezko, is going on trial soon for multiple felonies, along with other defendants who contributed to Barack's presidential campaign early on. These are not minor, "bone-headed" mistakes, either, but a 12-year stint of quid pro quo with a paper trail that wraps around the planet. In addition, Barack's speechwriter Ben Rhodes is the brother of a VP at Fox News, David Rhodes, who runs the news division there. Karl Rove has already collaborated with Fox to throw the last two elections - are we going to let him throw a third? For more on the Rove strategy and G.O.P. links to the Obama campaign, see the article I've posted at thecityedition.com.

  • I'm sure Rove is cracking the bubbly

I see Hhatchet didn't actually read Krugman's article, or if he did, he has problems processing information. As for the rest of the readers who betrayed their true reactionary natures and chose to address Mr. Krugman's thoughtful concerns and observations with yet more tired, and I mean tired, slander of the Clintons and Krugman (one of the few journalists to buck the Obama propaganda churn), you all are pawns, and once again I am chilled by just how easy Americans are "played." Karl Rove must be drinking champagne and laughing out loud.

  • One only needs to read some of the letters (and articels) on Salon to see what Krugman refers to

They speak for themselves. Many of Obama's supporters are Hillary haters and throw their bile at her and her supporters for their mere existence. In danger of becoming "a cult of personality." Do you think? Slack jawed and misty-eyed, like virgins about to be taken with "You know I love you," their blind love for the man (who is who he says he is because he says so) is matched only with their emotional attacks on any one who dare challenges the object of their affection. Wow, it's staring to look like Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Or, wait, am I a racist or simply a nay sayer who is against hope and change? Okay Obamaites, ready, set, pile on!

  • A Different Way!!

What is incredible is that the Clinton supporters only hear and see what they want. Didn't Clinton bring up the "slumlord" when asked about her tax forms. Didn't Clinton supporters say that Bill Clinton was blacker then Barack because Bill dated more black women. Now a Clinton supporter says whites will not vote for Barack because many just are not ready for a black President.

Clinton supports logic does not compute. If Sen. Obama can beat Sen. Clinton in 18 states when she is suppose to be so tough then it stands to reason that he can beat the GOP.

The Clintons may have been in office but I believe at best he and his enemies fought to a tie.

As I remember Bill Clinton was impeached. In his last years his approval rating was high but he could not get anything passed because the GOP held everything up. The right wing was able to spin everything he tried to do as "Wagging the Dog." All show and no substance they said. Wow, that sounds like Krugman against Sen. Obama. I guess with liberal friends like Krugman, Obama does not need Conservatives enemies.

Yes, many so called Liberals are closet racist. This election is going to make this country deal with that issue. Listen to the way liberals are attacking Barack. Sen. Clinton stated that Barack only won in some states because black turn out dismissing states that had very few blacks. She and her supporters refuse to believe he had a better organization, message, charisma, and yes intellect.

Many like Krugman think that his black supporters are just emotional and voting for him just because he is black. Many blacks and whites were not voting for Barack because they wanted to first hear what his policies were. Then he did a super smart thing and brought in Ophra (who many dismissed)where many got to hear him for the first time and liked what he said. That attention won him (90% White)Iowa and if Hillary had not cried he would have won New Hamshire.

Many of still do not want to believe he is winning because so called liberals probably don't listen, read or have conversations with a lot of black people.

Notice how the so-called liberal media brought out every black pundit they could find during the S.Carolna contest but they can't seem to find black,Hispanic,Asian,Native American, pundits when it comes to issues of the war, education, health care or the economy. The only time Lou Dobbs ever has a Hispanic on his show is when he is talking about immigration but he says he is not a racist.

The media's bias reflects our larger societies views on race and intellect. What happens is that when blacks like Obama do speak on those issues they get dismissed as shallow because many in our society including minorities are not use to seeing blacks in charge or even having input to the discussion.

But youth who have grown up,party, date,go to school and work with other races are changing their parents minds. Those parents, friends and children of a new generaton are the ones that are blowing the roofs off of Obama forums.

They are opening their minds to the possiblilities that voting for someone that does not look like the majority may not be all that bad or catasthropic as some try to make it seem. Maybe Sen. Obama might do for America what Jackie Robsinson did for America and us all think differently. That their may be a different way to do and think about politics and policies besides the Rush,Clinton,Coulter,Dobbs,Shuster,Matthews,O'Reilly,Barnicle,Couric,Hannity,Combs,Boorz,Savage,Maddow,Randi Rhodes,Brokaw,Hitchens,Alter,Fund,Sawyer,Jennings,Dowd,Mitchell,Klein,Friedman,Kristol,Liasson,Kondrack,Doocy,Susteren,Cauvto,Gibson,Crier,Stahl,Safer,Noonan,Kopel,Imus,Scarbourogh,Stewart,Rooney,Safir,Priest,Blankley,Blumenthal,Barnes,Cameron,Abrams Russert and KRUGMAN way of thinking.
