  • Geese Gander

Hillary's first move when her campaign was in trouble in New Hampshire was to go after Obama on scandals- she's been 'vetted', a word implying Obama has dark secrets and you wouldn't want those to come out in the general election now would you? Voters bought it, and Rezko has been all the rage since. Now we find out more and more about how well Bill's cashed in on being an ex-president, and Hillary is 'self-financing'.

If the shoe was on the other foot, does anyone in their right mind believe the Clintons wouldn't be all over this issue like a cheap suit?

  • Release the Rezko records

Obama should release all of the records regarding Rezko's donations to Obama's camapaigns and the real estate deal they were involved in.

  • And another thing..

The 'Anonymous' Republican or Clinton operatives on Salon that keep trying to slime Obama's dead mother are despicable. Get this through your two-cent heads: no one would care if she were a communist, which she wasn't (the school you are alleging as a hotbed of pinko commies is one of the most affluent in Seattle and about as radical as Cape Cod). And know that if you so much as slip up and leave a paper trail, any candidate that could be as tied to that drivel as Bush was to McCain's 'black baby' would go down in flames. No reward + risk + selling your soul = no so good deal.

Whoever you are, it would be far more valuable for your candidate, you and us if you could post less inane accusations and more about what turned you into human garbage. You know, so those of us with children can take notes and prevent such diabolical things from happening again.

  • Get real

I want him to hold a press conference and state that this isn't true:

"So into a victory party Mr. and Mrs. Barack Obama saunter. Guess what was blasting away? Jay-Z's 99 problems. Alternet has also picked up the story. "

You want Sen. Obama to hold a press conference to refute every piece-of-crap smear that's thrown his way? This lie originated in the New York Post and has spread around the internet by morons eager to believe anything salacious, no matter how ridiculous.

  • Hilarious.....

I really have no idea what the HRC democrats stand for.

Open government? nope, they could care less if HRC is open. I guess that need for "openness" only applies to republicans.

Against corporatism? nope, they are willing to back a dem who has more corporate donations and has done more corporate favors than Rummy and Cheney- so i guess that only applies- again- to republicans

Are they anti-war and pro-peace? Nope, that neither. They want the dem who voted for the war, and then later gave the same president the power to start another war- even after admitting she was "duped" by the dumbest president in history. So i guess all that Peace talk and anti-Iraq stuff was only aimed at republicans. So long as dems are doing it, its OK

Are they for American workers? Nope, they are supporting the dem who worked on union busting at walmart, who gave us the WTO, NAFTA, etc. I guess they only hate when american workers get screwed when a republican does it.

Are they anti-torture? Nope, they back the dem who wouldn't roundly condemn torture flat out. I guess torture is only bad when Bush does it. If its HRC, who cares right?

And now they want to mountains out of molehills about Rezko if its Obama, but hey, HRC finds 5 million bucks, gives it her camapign, doesnt bother telling voters, wont release her tax receipts, and yet they want to pretend that the republicans will find them "untouchable" come the general. Basically this shows that NRC supporters, at this point, will beleive anything despite evidence to the contrary, or no evidence at all.

How do you guys know she's fully vetted if she cant even bother to release the details the republicans are gonna have during the general ANYWAY?!?!!?

Dont you get it, the reps will know this stuff come the general- so the only person shes hiding this from IS YOU!!!

  • To timbuktom:

Book advance. This should answer some of your questions about Hillary's money. If you received 8 million and invested it well, you would have some reserves:

  • Rules Are Rules

She's not required to release her tax returns at this time so she shouldn't let Obama guilt her into doing so. Rules are rules; deals are deals; pledges are pledges. Unless . . . you think that you can arm-twist old Howard to get the delegates from a state where your opponents were not even listed on the ballot. In that case, rules and pledges are null and void.

She thought she was going to win FL (and I agree she would have: demographics). She thought she was going to win MI (I think maybe, maybe not). But, thinking she was going to win both, she was happy to make the no-campaigning pledge because she figured she could win both with just name recognition. Then once it's for sure that she would get the most delegates she could push for a rule change. I wouldn't be surprised if she had that last part planned at the time she made the pledge.

  • The Closer We Get

The crazier the Partisan rhetoric gets. It really is quite entertaining to watch the scatalogical assertions fired from all sides.

Clinton campaigns on being vetted, on being open and honest and direct- that is the language she uses. She also has attacked Obama on his fully-disclosed financial dealings with some municipal scumbag-starf*cker- yet she refuses to disclose her financial records fully. Just as she selectively released records from the presidential library and the family's rather significant global philanthropy organization.

No, she is not required by law to disclose her taxes- but she is bound by her own words to be open and transparent and straightforward. If not, she automatically forfeit's her consistency and credibility as a sincere candidate.

I said that it was great fun to watch partisan constituents tear each other apart- but really it's frustrating, because you can see how everyone as simply stopped looking at the candidates. They look past them. They get behind a candidate early because that is human nature, and then spend the rest of the campaign- the 'discovery period'- looking and talking past their 'opponents' from over the shoulder's of their champion. The real problem with that is, you can't SEE your candidate clearly and completely because you're already standing too close.
