Why is it that whenever someone of a non-white race does something that a white pundit disapproves of, they go on some tirade about how the leaders of that race need to do something about it? Where do they get this idea that each ethnicity is a monolithic population that immediately defers to the commands of a few people? It's pretty insulting that Gibson thinks that this situation can be changed by one well-placed phone call.
While we're on the subject, where are the "white leaders" that control the entire race that I can complain to about John Gibson?

... but it applies here, too. Calling John Gibson a blowhard is an insult to blowhards everywhere.
I am baffled that anyone would choose to tune into guys like this. And I'm an aging white male.

Rights and Responsibilities
The First Amendment does indeed protect the right of artists to create their work as they choose. But that doesn't automatically make their choices good ones. They bear responsibility for the choices they make and their consequences. The constant stream of hypersexuality, misogyny, racism and profanity heard in some of the most popular forms of contemporary music does have a degrading effect on our culture. Face up to it - a culture in which language such as "m___f___ker" is common usage is coarser and less humane for that. While I would not advocate legal action to stymie any form of artistic expression I do believe that that the artists need to think more seriously about the impact their choices have. And consumers of music have a responsibility to be more careful about the kind of product they support with their dollars as well.

Arresting White Children
This young man who was arrested was white. The kids listening to African American thug rap are mainly white.If they're not listening to country music at NASCAR events, they're listening to thug rap. All that thug stuff is being bought up by white suburban kids. I guess now the right wing can't find enough ethnic males to make their quota so they want to start jailing white youth too. Since Gibson can't count these young males as part of his demographic- and not make money off them, he probably want them jailed so they offer a back room deal to ship them off to fight their war.

OK, now we hear the kid was white: Uberhobo's observation still applies, that to many pundits, journalists and everyday people think that all of the members of that OTHER group are a homogenous mass.
Sometimes it works in your favor, such as places where I worked where the managers who were not veterans had this weird Hollywood-inspired idea that if they spoke too sharply to them, I might go ballistic. Sometimes it works against you, such as with people who think that because I live in Florida, that I can't correctly vote or that might I approve of arresting a kid for using dirty words outdoors

way beyond parody
The sitcom Newsradio parodied this kind of overreaction to naughty words in rap over ten years ago, when Phil Hartman's character goes on an on-air crusade against rap lyrics (and the joke then was that he was ten years behind the times in his outrage.)

Can we start by arresting people who go on TV to advocate illegal wars for no purpose...
...other than to make a bad president look like a war-fightin' hero in his re-election campaign, and to be able to call the other side "soft on (insert inane justification here)"?

Isn't Gibson that albino looking guy who works for Fox and isn't Fox always attacking some elses morals and isn't Fox/Rupert Murdoch the largest telecarrier of pron in America. And finally why does he and why do all of them just get a huge pass for his porn business.
Are the two big right wing religions that support the Rethug party gone soft on their porn news media guy, Rupert Murdoch.
