We don't yet know who the presidential nominee will be, but according to Bill O'Reilly, the Democrats "dodge" Fox News at their own risk.

  • That would be a stupid move for them to grant him an audience

Democratic candidates, must, if they have any sense at all, boycott all of Foxnews 100%. They're just going to make up whatever bullshit they want anyway.

  • if you dodge us, it is at your peril!!!

bah bah baaaahhhhmmmmm! Like Fox News watchers would vote for either Clinton or Obama. That threat is just pathetic.

  • Technically...

I am not sure that Papa Bear is an "Anchor" - isn't his function something more like "Host", "Blowhard", "Teleprompter Reader" or "Jackass"?

  • Hillary owes Murdoch.

Hillary took a shitload of money from Murdoch at a fundraiser he held for her so now she has to start paying up.

I can't believe that this country is so short sighted as to nominate Hillary Clinton. You say you want to be progressive but you vote for the least progressive candidate on the stage. You say you want to bring this country together and get things done but you vote for the most divisive candidate you can find.

I fucking weep for this country and it's future, I truly do.

  • Never noticed before, but...

..."BO" is absolutely the *only* way to identify Bill O'Reilly! How about if we all simply refer to him that way in future?

It's often said that the sense of smell is the most evocative, bringing up deep memories that won't surface any other way -- well, "BO" definitely brings up the real essence of Bill to me!

  • I think what BO meant about "peril" is that he'll send his goon squad to get you

BO is delusional. He thinks he can push people around, physically. He tried it with the United States Secret Service. He's lucky he can still walk. He was about one arm-reach away from Obama when one of them shoved him back.

One of these days he's going to try something like that again and they will beat the living shit out of him.

    I hope it's on YouTube.

  • Clinton and Obama should definitely debate on Fox

But they should insist on Terry Gross as debate moderator.

  • Threats From BO

If they do dodge his show, will he unleash "FOX security" on them?

  • I can just imagine the moderator questions at a FOX Dem debate

"Senator Obama: if elected, when will you start your secret jihad against the United States?"

"Senator Clinton: whom do you admire more, Karl Marx or Mao Zedong?"

Although the best question would be:

"Would you mind pretending that we matter?"

  • working class Americans

(and I am one so this is not a so-called limosine liberal talking) have not voted in their own best interest in the past two elections--many working class Americans voted for Bush (many Latinos too--sorry). They voted for the comfortable guy. The guy who "seemed" like them.

Unfortunately, this guy wasn't a real rancher, he was a phony rancher. Just like Clinton's main supporters financially have been rich people, not common every day people as the ones who have financially supported Obama's campaign. She's a pretend commoner, who grew up in one of the richest, most privileged neighborhoods of Chicago, and whose voice drips with condescension every time she talks makes a speech.

What makes me sad is that for some Americans, Obama's good heart, his kindness, are mistaken for weakness. So instead, of the person who appeals to our better natures, who genuinely stands for change in Washington D.C., people select the candidate who is most aligned with corporations and a continuation of the status quo--and Fox News and what it stands for--meaning Hillary Clinton who is the candidate with pro-war gravitas.

Sad for America. Sad for the working class who Bill and Hillary sold out with welfare reform and NAFTA their last time in office together. Sad for Americans who still don't vote their own economic best interest when they vote.

  • @kickstarts

I voted for Hillary? Wow, and I thought I marked the bubble next to Obama's name.

Seeing as Hillary only has a 9% lead over Obama in number of delegates and has just 44% of the total needed to win compared to Obama's 40% I'd say it's pretty much still up in the air.

Maybe we should all just calm down a little.

  • Why say "reportedly"?

    You write:

(reportedly, Obama did not actually promise to do so, but said he would consider it)

I have watched the video. That is exactly what Obama said. O'Reilly is lying.

Why don't you just call the lie a lie?

  • Siccing the newshounds on Fox

Obama's campaign should stick it to Fox, big time. Clinton's already made her bed with Fox and Funny Uncle Rupert, so she's going to have to lie in it, but Obama should avoid it. Fox simply doesn't deserve a Democratic debate, after the Goebbels-like yeoman's service they've rendered the GOP over the years, there is no good reason for an actual Democrat to go anywhere near Fox. The ratings alone would benefit Fox greatly, and there's no way they'd bring in new voters that way. If Clinton plans to appear on Fox, that's fine; it's her choice, something she'll have to live with. She and Coulter can kvetch about McCain, or something. But Obama shouldn't go near it, shouldn't grace them with his presence. There's a price to be paid for being propagandists, and Fox should be paying that price by not being able to masquerade as journalists by hosting a Democratic debate.

  • I think a simple

No, thanks. Fox news doesn't meet my standards would be enough.

  • jhudson2

Last night as I watched the returns, I got the same feeling in my stomach that I got 7 years ago watching Gore lose. It's the same feeling I got 3 years ago watching Kerry lose. It's also very close to the feeling I get when I watch our current Dem controlled congress do absolutely nothing to make our country better. Calm down isn't in my available moods anymore.

I'm finally resolved to the fact that in my 40's I can finally say I don't give a shit anymore and when you reach that point, it makes you mad.

Now, if I can just get progressive voters to become my neighbors, maybe I won't go postal during the next 4 years of name calling and gridlock and hate.

  • We Got Your Wiggle Room Right Here!

Oh, wow! We are scared, man. Hey, somebody get a Democrat booked on Fox right away or else...or else...Big Bad Bill O'Reilly, another GOP nut with character, will do "something."

Yeah, Obama will come on. He'll sit down with ANYBODY. Just ask him.

Somebody tell Fox that they are no longer relevent to much of anything anymore; that the great experiment of right-wing know-it-alls posing as actual journalists covering actual news is over and it's been a resounding failure. Does anyone actually look at this channel anymore?
