is more important in the general election than South Carolina, you're a moron. No matter how well Obama does tonight, he could never carry the state in the general, nor could any Democrat. If Hillary wins Florida with a Dem turnout bigger than the Repugs, even when the delegates don't count, that is called NEWS.
I've already heard from a family member who voted early for Obama and another who voted for Hil. My take--a very, very close split.

"As you'll recall, the DNC stripped Florida of its delegates to the Democratic National Convention when the state scheduled its primary earlier than the party wanted. That turned Tuesday's Florida primary into the same sort of meaningless affair the Michigan primary was -- at least until Clinton issued a statement Friday in which she said that she'd fight to have delegates from both states seated at the convention after all. "
can someone explain to me how this is NOT underhanded?
Just like the Nevada LAWSUIT brought on by Clinton "supporters", was underhanded.
How can anyone support that? please explain.
"Regardless of today's outcome, the race quickly shifts to Florida, where hundreds of thousands of Democrats will turn out to vote on Tuesday."
Hundreds of thousands? That's all you've got? How many people live in Florida again?
Sounds like it might not be the slam-dunk they think it is.
Big freaking deal! This is called POLITICS! They're not running for dog-catcher of Mayberry, for Christ's sakes. Obama's people better toughen up and get a little shrewder or they're in serious trouble.
so 400,000+ is VERY big news especially given that the party has frozen the delegates.
the people to complain to is the Democratic National Committee ...
This sounds like a "promise" Clinton will have a lot of trouble delivering on if enough democrats speak out.
On first glance, the potential effect of this promise on turnout in Florida (particularly among Clinton supporters) is sufficient to make this a "you must be kidding" moment, but there may well be nuance I don't understand
All is fair in love and war ... but, really, it's the DNC who need to hear the uproar ...

and what was done by the Democratic National Committee was unfair to those states ... and, I suspect, is now regretted.
But -- truly I see nothing "underhanded" about this promise to try to get these delegates seated ...
Truly ... lobby the DNC to refuse to bend ... or come up with another better remedy.
This hysteria over "challenges" overlooks how important to "fair elections" such challenges are ... the challenge by the teacher's union in Las Vegas was thrown out... Clinton's proposal here appears to me at first glance to be a non-starter ... but "challenges" are just that and they are essential to the process ... Remember Florida in 2000?
isn't it a bit, um, unusual that Florida Sen. Nelson endorsed Hillary the day after her campaign announced she was going to steal Florida?
No, this was a calculated plan. And I pray that the nation learns and understands just what this lying, cheating, stealing woman is doing. Under the rules she and everyone else agreed to, the Florida primary was going to be a meaningless name-recognition contest. Guess who that favors. Now, since the other candidates have been prevented from campaigning there, which means that her name recognition remains high and theirs remains low, she wants to change the rules just DAYS before the primary, to ensure that she will get credit largely due to last name?
Oh HELL naw. How many more Barack supporters in Michigan would have come out and voted in that primary if they would have known what Her Majesty's plan was?
Stealing Florida. I thought only Republicans did that.
So, the Clinton strategy was to supress the votes of likely Obama supporters in Nevada, but be certain that the votes of likely Clinton supporters in Michigan and Florida are counted?
Democrats, just because someone is ostensibly "on our side" doesn't mean we have to support these tactics. We must demand better of our leadership and potential nominees.
It's not underhanded at all. It's smart politics -- Hillary will encourage (fight) to have the Michigan and Florida delegates seated at the convention, because she believes that the voters of those states deserve to have their voices heard (their votes counted). If citizens took the time to vote in the primaries, the delegates should be seated according to the results -- that's Hillary's position.
I like Edwards, not so keen on Obama, but they decided to take their names off the Michigan ballot. Too bad for them that they made that decision -- they were counting on "uncommitted" winning in Michigan -- well, that didn't happen. Hillary won. Now, they want to rob Michiganders of their vote -- their voice.
They played the political game, too, by deleting their names from the ballot because they were afraid of losing in Michigan -- since they had all agreed to not campaign in Michigan, they were afraid that Clinton would win on name recognition, so they figured (wrongly) that if "uncommitted" won, they could claim that Hillary lost. Well, they blew it. On this one, they made a bad political decision.
Get over it.
The Clintons leave the state.
A new WSJ/NBC poll just appeared on MSNBC, as if in answer to their repetitive race warnings 24/7-hours before the poll closed.
Hillary /Obama numbers have suddenly flipped -
Hillary 47%
Obama 32%
Huckabee just got my write -in Democratic vote.
Whether it was a good idea or a bad idea to unseat those delegates, it was agreed to by all parties. Now, once again, its all about the Clintons. I think the country is getting to over-saturation point with them already. At this rate I think Huckabee would beat her in the general election.
