Tom DeLay's really big threat.

Please do

If all of the candidates of both parties asked Tom Delay to "sit this one out" do you think he'd finally go away and shut the hell up?

Friday, January 18, 2008 01:43 PM

Might have to sit it out

Indeed! When's his trial?

Felons have to sit them all out, n'est-ce pas?

The Exterminator

Seriously, can one of the most corrupt politicians in the history of the Congress please stop getting airtime on the public waves? The guy pretty much exemplifies everything that's wrong with the US political system, both with the press and the politicians. Can't we hold him up as an example of those who should be shunned to the wilderness and left to wander for their redemption?

"sit this one out"

Hopefully, for about five to ten...

Friday, January 18, 2008 02:45 PM

Horrors! Delay might sit out the election.

In equally important news, I cleaned the lint out of my dryer yesterday.

The end of Tom

Can't we hold him up as an example of those who should be shunned to the wilderness and left to wander for their redemption?

We could, but Delay is beyond -- way beyond -- redemption of any kind. There isn't a pit in hell deep enough for him; a whole new one will have to be dug.

On the other hand, shunning him to the wilderness could prove beneficial because, if the world is lucky, some grizzly bear will eat him for lunch. So society gets rid of a disreputable cretin, a hungry bear gets to eat, and all's well that ends well.

It would be nice...

If McCain did get the nod and two thirds of the Republicans in the country followed this idiot's advice...

Cut off nose, meet spited face.

Friday, January 18, 2008 03:08 PM

Mad dog!

It's amusing that if for some reason Republicans are broken out of their lockstep, they turn on and rend each other like starving hyenas. Maybe that's why they have to be so disciplined in toeing the party line.

Friday, January 18, 2008 03:58 PM

Hopefully he'll be sitting it out

in jail. Do felons get to vote in Texas?

Career Advice for Tom Delay

Go back to pest control. Use dangerous chemicals. Do NOT use a mask.

Friday, January 18, 2008 04:37 PM

"Do felons get to vote in Texas?"

Only in the Legislature.

@electrolite

Last time I checked my biology texts, brown bears were listed as omnivorous, not coprophagous.

Friday, January 18, 2008 05:59 PM

Does anyone even care about Tom Delay anymore?

Why even give this guy a forum? Last I heard of him was just after he got kicked out of office. He will go down in history forgotten until 20 years from now when some historian needs a second book and writes one about him and then some PBS series does an episode about him. That will be the last anyone hears of Tom Delay. A forgotten waste.

Sit it out, Tom

from within the confines of a jail cell, you criminal puke.

Saturday, January 19, 2008 05:26 AM

The Mugshot

Not only does DeLay exemplify everything that's wrong with our current politics, his infamous, smiling police-station mug shot - in which he claimed he wanted people to see God when they looked at him - exemplifies everything that's wrong with organized religion in general and fundamentalist Christianity in particular these days as well.

Tom who?

Is this that fucking exterminator, again?

I thought he was dead?

Israel blocks food to Palestinians, provokes war

Politics and elections are important -but critical world issues should not be ignored!

With Bush and Cheney now encouraging Israel to respond militarily to Iran -Israel takes the back door approach by doubling its efforts to brutalize Gaza so much so that someone responds back.

Israel has now blocked all access in or out of Gaza -withholding UN food aid and all outside medical assistance.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0,,2243432,00.html?gusrc=rss&feed=12

If Bush gets his war or some semblance of one -it's Hillary and Rudy back in the terror loving spotlight.

Is that why Rudy is playing it so cool-because he knows whats going to happen??

Is that why Hillary and her insider base -already using the terror card, and with her pro-war & pro-Iran and all A*I*P*A*C* donor base at the ready - is that too what they are also waiting for??

And is that what the Right will secretly hope for-a war with Iran -to make Hillary their sole foe??

We all know the answers -from ample recent experience.

Sitting out

What takes so long? Speed up his trial and make his wish come true.

Tom DeLay

No Tom DeLay involved in 2008. America weeps.

Saturday, January 19, 2008 06:56 PM

Tempting..

If DeLay will up the stakes, I might be willing to vote for McCain.

Sunday, January 20, 2008 08:50 AM

And this is relevant because?

While you're at it, why don't you go dig James Trafficant and let him wax political from his prison cell about the integrity of the Democratic nominees?
