some dems may vote for Romney out of spite
Just a note that some Democratic blogs, such as DailyKos, have been urging Michigan voters to vote for Romney. The rationale being that he's probably easier to beat than McCain, and it's better for the Democrats if the GOP can't decide on a nominee until as late as possible, ideally the convention. So independent/Democratic support for McCain may be a little less than you'd otherwise think.
I have no idea how snow interacts with this issue.
-
Yeah, I didn't get that either.
What Democrats would vote for John McCain?
-
Yeah, I don't think Dems & Independents are coming out for McCain this time...
I think the reason that McCain is expected to do well with Dems and independents in Michigan is because he captured a lot of their votes in 2000. The thing is, he got those votes not because he genuinely appealed to them, but because they were trying to take the state from Bush (and did so successfully). It was a similar movement to what is pushing Michigan Dems to vote for Romney this time around. There's no reason that I can think of to expect them to vote for McCain again this year.

Don't Get this McCain Democrats
I just talked my Mother out of voting for McCain. I just had to remind her about the Supreme Court and why it is important that the next person in office be a Democrat and not a Republican. I also reminded her about the enviroment, anti-trust laws, laws that favor Corporate America at the exspense of everyone including her. I just don't get how Democrats keep forgetting that they are not just voting for the guy who seems the most honest, but an entire party plank that will have real consequences on their lives.

What's a Republivan?
Anybody that thrills at low voter turnout.

absentee ballots
Do these states not have absentee ballots? Or do people vote at the last minute in person?
I'm planning to vote absentee for Super Tuesday, which makes the weather on Super Tuesday completely irrelevant.

You know what, you guys? I can wait for the polls to close to hear the results. Really.
I don't need anybody telling me throughout the day what they THINK's gonna happen, based on "exit polls", their crystal balls, or anything else.
I mean, gods forbid YOUR blithering should sway the outcome. Right? Plus: who cares? Who SHOULD care? Who SHOULDN'T wait till the polls close to hear the news? Is there any way you media guys couldn't insert yourselves into this whole overwhelmingly over-hyped process?
Seriously.
Relax - have a cuppa coffee, put your feet up, and read Paul Krugman's column here:

It'll do you (and us) a world of good.

Can't blogs have copy editors?
But McCain's own strategists believe his supporters are more passionate about their man than Romney's
McCain's supporters are more passionate about their man [McCain] than about Romney's man? Who would that be? Tagg? Tigg? Thumper?

One Michigan blogger ALREADY calling the race
ONE blogger of note in Michigan is calling the race already, albeit tongue in cheek
