But if they're anti-Hillary voters, they won't vote for Hillary either if she is the nominee, yes? So what difference does it make, unless we nominate Edwards, who consistently polls behind Obama even if you subtract all the bad-faith independents and Republicans?

  • @abby

I hadn't heard about this atrocity. Thanks for enlightening.

  • What difference

does it make who endorses whom? John Kerry endorsing Obama does not make Obama any more progressive, or any more likely to return our civil liberties, if elected. Neither would Gore's endorsement of anyone have that effect.

Not even the polls make any mention of "how important to you is the restoration of the Constitution of the United States of America as the law of the land?" But none of those polling companies has contacted me.

  • Gotta wonder who benefits more from this endorsement .... sign up for the " change" (tm) express

Clinton's coup d'grace will come, as is traditional, when some of her early endorsements flip ....

  • Could have used this BEFORE New Hampshire...

Kerry's timing is as impeccable as ever.

Next week, he'll rebut the Swift Boat people.

    Sigh.

  • The timing of the announcement

    According to the NY Times:

The endorsement was weeks in the making. In the final days before the Iowa caucuses, Mr. Kerry was on the verge of announcing his support for Mr. Obama, aides said, but a final decision wasn’t made because it was not clear how it would affect the campaign. So Mr. Kerry decided to hold off on the endorsement until after New Hampshire primary.

I suspect that Obama's people had some say in the timing.

  • Kerry endorsing Obama

It must have hurt John Edwards, when his former running mate, John Kerry endorsed Obama. Edwards has been a gentleman about it, but I hope he'll at least say something about Kerry's failure to challenge the vote count in Florida and Ohio.
