Thanks CT
Why o why did the CT voters allow themselves to be fooled by this slimy f***stick?
-
Nothing could "cause Democrats to despise Lieberman"...
because they already do. The opportunistic little weasel duped the voters in Connecticut into sending him back to Washington. He's a liar and a cheat. And now the McCain endorsement is just one more public finger in the eye of the people Joe Lieberman despises....the people he was elected to represent.
Joe Lieberman and Clarence Thomas should take a cruise together and celebrate with their favorite whine...how everybody "done them wrong" and how sweet revenge is. Ha! Take that, people.
Small men. Big damage.

Not 2004
2000. Poor John Edwards doesn't deserve to be confuzzled with Holy Joe.
-
Another problem
This story just illustrates another problem with Hillary and Obama, they both endorsed Lieberman over Lamont. They do not want change, they want the status quo.
And I believe Democrats will actually take some action against Lieberman, like taking away his committee assignments, about the time Rush Limbaugh endorses Clinton.
-
Turncoat Joe
By the way Lieberman has been acting, you'd think all of the Democratic frontrunners were advocating immediate withdrawal of all troops from Iraq. They're not. His insistence on siding with the Republicans against the already hawkish (or at least non-confrontational) Democratic leadership is baffling.
-
Make that Year 2000 VP nominee
Tim -
C'mon. Joe Narcissus Colossus Lieberman was the VP nominee for Gore in 2000, not 2004. (Shows something about Al Gore's judgment, doesn't it? Great guy, not meant for politics.) While McCain is one of only two Repub candidates deserving of any respect, sadly, he is to the "left" of Lieberman on torture. (Noticed how the apologists no longer say "enhanced" interrogation techniques, as this phrase was originally coined by the Gestapo. Nice company.)
-
Kick Lieberman off the committees after 2008
It's unfortunate that Sen. Lieberman can keep the threat of changing Senate control hanging over the Democrats now.
Hopefully the Democratic majority in the Senate widens after the 2008 elections and no one will have to care what Joe Lieberman thinks anymore.
Let the Republicans give him one of their minority committee seats.
-
Another Spit in the Face
Just when you (foolishly) think Lieberman couldn't be any worse, he spits in your face once again.
Connecticut voters - take note once again.
The man who ran as an "independent democrat" with "your interests at heart" has just endorsed a Republican for President.
Well, we shouldn't be too surprised. Lieberman has been supporting Bush for at least six years now.
-
It's...
It's the 'kiss of death' for me.
Lieberman isn't a democrat and he barely registers on the 'independent' scale. He's much more dependent on the republicans and Bush and their dirty tricks than anything else.
Joe is for Joe and if it benefits anyone else (just like the loyal Bushies) then it must be a mistake...
-
Will this heighten speculation that...
McCain will ask Joe Lieberman to join the Repub ticket?
Oh, boy. More fodder for endless yakking about nothing that is not going to happen!
-
Pathetic
Two old white men who represent the last century bloviating together.
Who cares?
-
Uh oh . . .
I've said before that it was only a matter of time before McCain was rewarded for his loyal service to his party. You don't sit idly by while your primary run is used as a guinea pig for voter suppression and election fraud without marking a significant deposit in the ol' favor bank.
So here we are looking down the barrel of a Huckabee/McCain or McCain/Huckabee ticket in 2008. This is scary stuff. A guarantee on the 25-30% who are loving this war. A lock on a large block of the ever-creepy evangelical vote. McCain is the only Republican candidate who polled ahead of Hilary in an imaginary election. This is a ticket that would bring the entire election down to the voter turnout, a concept which the GOP machinery has become quite adept at manipulating.
This pairing would be dangerous and effective, and it is already in the works. Notice how netither of these guys snipe at one another while Rudy and Mitt are looking like Sonny Corleone at the toll booth.
I'm looking at the Democrats side of the aisle and the only possible hope would be a John Edwards/Wesley Clark ticket.
I truly believe that any ticket that features Clinton or Obama could be taken down at this point.
-
You have to admire Lieberman
He has a seat in the Senate and one in the Knesset.
-

I say bring it.
A doddering old man who says crazy shit all the time and a fundamentalist loon who just claimed that his rise in the polls was God's doing.
Yeah, I'll look down the barrel of that "dream team" any time. Neither one of these jokers, together or separately are strong enough public speakers to hold their own in a debate against Hillary. And oh yes, it's gonna be "Hill" and like it or suck on it, she's going to be the next president.
-
Lanny Davis and HRC?
The most disturbing thing about this article is that Hillary Clinton has that sleazy little Liebercrat Lanny Davis on her campaign. The man is the go-to guy whenever Villagers want a "even Democrats say ...." quote to bash Democrats with.
Then again, considering everything the Clintons did to keep Joe Lieberman in the Senate in '06, it's not really surprising.
Triangulation and using David Broder as your guiding star gets great results, doesn't it?
-
You've got him...
...and you're welcome to him.
-
McCain: I've got Lieberman
There might be some ointment or anti-biotic that could help with that.
-
re: There might be some ointment or anti-biotic that could help with that.
Well done. I'm sitting at my desk snickering.
-
why in hell...
...would anyone want Lieberman's endorsement? The man is so obviously a quisling hack who would sell his daughter into sex slavery and his mother for hamburger if it would benefit him politically, that I can't imagine how anyone even shakes the man's hand at this point.
along with a select few others (dick Cheney, for one), Lieberman is a perfect, textbook example of how badly our politics are failing right now. That this man would have any power at all beyond taking out the garbage, is totally baffling to me.
-
He's picking up Joementum!
I'm siting here trying to figure how Joe Lieberman's endorsement makes the slightest bit of difference, except for giving the AP an excuse to write a story about McCain and Lieberman and giving the rest of us the opportunity to make catty remarks about them. It's not like the Republicans primary voters were sitting around waiting to find out whom Lieberman supports before they chose their candidate.
