Obama's campaign is right!!! and that is a concise, easy, quick, way to knock her knees out. Just mention that Hillary Clinton and George Bush are buddy buddy, and poof.
Not because I'm a fan (I'm actually a waffler on her), but because her "response" to being the punching bag was both fair-minded and tough. She drew real distinctions on policy differences, and criticized specific actions or lack thereof. She did not engage in ad hominem attacks, personal destruction, phony characterizations or name-calling.
I'm all for tough. I'm all for letting them have it with guns blazing. I'm all for a hard-fought, bare-knuckles campaign.
The Republicans could take a lesson from both Clinton and Obama. (And so could Edwards.)
And her record speaks for itself. She's a war hawk, a corporate whore, anti-civil liberty, and a pocket republican.
I'm sick of Bushes.
I'm sick of Clintons.
I'm sick of Republicans.
I can't drink enough to piss on all the faux dem's out there.
I need the housing market to pick up so I can sell my home and emigrate. This country's fucked.
Which is why I'm never voting for either of them for anything.
Hillary says that Obama "started running for president as soon as he arrived in the United States Senate".
What's her point? That he should have started even sooner, as she did?
Everytime she attacks, he counters in a calm and to the point manner and cuts her down at the ankles. She sounds completely desperate.
She's making herself look worse and worse. She's showing all the qualities that made so many people hate her during Bill Clinton's years in the White House...and wait until THAT one throws his two cents in.
Obama/Edwards or Edwards/Obama, that's my guess.
I don't envy Her Imperial Majesty. Fail to respond and be labeled a punching bag. Counterattack and you risk, as with her present diatribe, coming off as both obnoxious and shrill.
The truth is, Barack Obama doesn't need lectures in political courage from someone who followed George Bush to war in Iraq, gave him the benefit of the doubt on Iran, supported NAFTA and opposed ethanol until she decided to run for president.
This line just about had me spitting my coffee onto the computer screen.
Even when she "goes on the attack," Hillary ends up looking like a fool. She attacks with innuendo and the completely unfounded notion that someone needs her kind of experience to be President.
He responds with her record.
Brilliant.
Barack blocks the shot and runs it in for an easy lay-up.
I think Hillary called her vote for the Iraq war a vote for "diplomacy", as well.
Geesh, I thought that putting down people for reading books was the sort of thing Democrats might avoid and leave to the anti-intellectuals in the Bush White House. But no, apparently learning from the past and reading how previous presidents have handled challenges opens you up to charges of inexperience by, of all people, a woman who's own claim to experience is being married to a President.
Hey, my wife is a heart surgeon. She TOTALLY talks to me about it all the time. Can I operate on your chest?
She is despicable.
Tim Grieve paints Hillary Clinton as Snidely Whiplash in drag, but if you read the text of her Clear Lake speech--well, it's just run of the mill politics. And her criticism of Obama's adoption of Republican talking points on health care and Social Security goes to the heart of what's scary about him--
his desire to be post-partisan even as we're trying to get out of Bushworld alive.
Bush ain't too fond o' that book learnin' either.
The closer you look at them, the more harder it is to see differences between the two.
Obama FTW.
As opposed to learning how to be President by sleeping with one?

Yes, that kindergartten essay exposes just how long he's been planning the run.
That's right Senator Clinton:
You voted for the war and ever time you attack your opponent he's just going to be thrown back in your face.
I have no doubt that it will haunt you to the end of your days knowing that if you had just done the right thing, the American thing, and voted against invading and occupying another country your ascention to the White House would have been guaranteed.
So please, don't get your feathers ruffled because Democrats are leaning towards the man who had the guts to oppose Bush's Iraq fantasy from the start.
Experience, after all, is nothing without good judgement.
I am from Illinois. Senator Clinton is right. Obama has taken a pass on critical pro-choice votes in Illinois. While his campaign people are very clever with quips they should check the record before they take the rest of us for idiots.
it wont be long before she starts invoking his middle name to start appealing to the lowest common denominator in voters.
This little girl is only slightly less red than Bush.
I find it a little insulting that she claims she's a Progressive -- when 99 percent of her "plan" for America is to simply be Bush-lite.
Her healthcare plan? Simply force everyone to buy health insurance!
Brilliant! It's not like there has been a big movie out recently that explained in detail that having insurance is no protection against being billed into bankruptcy. It's not like there was a movie of some kind that explained how worthless insurance was and how people were being denied care,/i> left and right by for-profit insurance companies.
Oh wait a minute.....
Damn, Hillary. When you actually articulate a Progressive policy then you can call yourself a Dem.
