Why did the mayor bill obscure city offices for trips to the Hamptons?
The letters thread is now closed.
  • Who in their right mind would have sex with Rudy Giuliani?

    That's the real question.

  • Who ever said Judy Nathan is in her right mind?

The woman is a total nutcake.

  • Or to put it another way

Who in their right mind would have sex with Judy Nathan?

  • Dummy

You don't expose him for this now. You do it in late September or early October.

  • Take him out now

and maybe Romney ends up being the Republican nominee. I think he'd be much easier to beat than Giuliani.

  • I think Guliani would be the best candidate

from the Democrats' point of view. This guy has so many skeletons in his closet, the friggin' door is bulging! The guy and his new wife both can be crucified by their own words. Just roll the tape where Rudy says that taxpayers should pay for abortions. That's bound to go down well among the American Taliban. And then roll the tape showing his psycho wife injecting drugs into cats and dogs and watching them die.

Overall, these two are psycho. And I'm guessing that can be handily beat.

However, I admit it's quite a risk. If the Supreme Court ends up appointing the president like they did in 2000, then our illustrious history of representative government and all that comes with it, would come to a grinding halt.

  • Best Candidate

Picture this: A still image from the Rudy in drag video-- the segment with Donald Trump leaning over and kissing him on the neck. "This is the man the Republican party wants to represent the United States of America."

  • This is great news

This puke is a dangerous man. Hard to imagine someone worse than Bu'ush, but Rudy is just that. May the dirt continue to surface.

  • Just curious

I assume the mayor of New York City needs security no matter where he goes. If he decided to go to Coney Island for a Nathan's hot dog, wouldn't he need security? Why should a trip to his mistress be any different?

  • @Herself

"I assume the mayor of New York City needs security no matter where he goes."

That's a valid point, but why was the cost of the security for these particular trips buried in the budgets of various obscure agencies?

  • Go Figure...

Once Thompson was pegged as comatose the GOP pinned their hopes on Rudy to save them, particularly ignoring his abortion stance. All the while, the complicit corporate media has refused to show him as anything other than Mr. 911.

Time will tell how much traction this further scandal gets.

  • From the Institute For The In-Depth Study of Blinding Glimpses of The Obvious

... why was the cost of the security for these particular trips buried in the budgets of various obscure agencies?

    _____

    Asked and answered.

  • According to Laura, liveblogging the debate at DailyKos:

    Here's Rudy's explanation:

He needed the security because of threats and did not choose where the expenses were filed. He knew not where the [Rudy's words] totally legitimate expenses would be charged. It was all the decision of his security service!

Only one response is necessary to this:

    ha ha

Rudy. He's a Dead Man Talkin'.

  • Don't wait.

Take him out of the running now. He is a danger to the Republic full stop. Hoping for a Giuliani nomination is playing with fire. He is the most dangerous candidate around.

  • Tip of the iceberg...

I like the Olberman story better. Last night he exposed one of giuliani's Security Company's clients. I can not recall the gentleman's name but Rude-y's company supplied security for a gig in Qatar which included protection to leaders from Syria, Iran, Qataq, and an assortment of other countries that state sponser terrorism. I can't believe the NY Times isn't all over that one. Romney could knock-out Rude-y with a heymaker on this one. The man is a sick frog.

  • I understand that Salon is paid to write hit pieces on GOP candidates

But is a mayor having affairs really news?

  • Divorce

I am thinking these charges were buried so that they could not be used against him in the divorce with his second wife. All white men fear their wives in a divorce more than they fear the IRS, tree huggers and Hillary Clinton combined.

  • OK, I'll bite

You're right, anonymous. A mayor having an affair is certainly not news. Gavin Newsom admitted one, and still won. It's sleazy and low-class, but voters can and do forgive an affair. Most people would consider it a personal matter between that person and their spouse.

It's a completely different affair (sorry, couldn't resist) when the city of new york is paying tens of thousands of dollars so the mayor can go have sex with his mistress. It's also probably illegal for those amounts to be billed to obscure city agencies, in a blatant attempt to conceal them.

  • Rudy is sleazy

It was only a matter of time before some dirt was revealed about Rudy and his sleazy affair with Judith. Wake up Republicans, we don't need someone that willing to be dishonest as president!! What a looser. How can the Republicans even consider accepting this behavior? This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a model husband. Whatever happened to values voters? Didn’t they vote Republican as a statement against the whole Monica thing with Bill? The Republicans who support Rudy are hypocrates.

  • Imagine the shoe on the other foot...

Picture the s*** fit Republicans would have had if President Clinton had asked the Secret Service to ferry Monica around for their trysts. In fact, didn't they accuse him of using the Arkansas police or whoever to do something like that when he was governor (except, of course, not with Monica)?
