Is it still Bush vs. Gore?

The White House insists the president was "very much looking forward" to seeing his old nemesis.

Biggest laugh I had all day

was simply imagining the shoe on the other foot...trying to picture President Gore welcoming Nobel Peace Prize laureate (multi-tasking between bouts of topping up the ol' coffers) George W.Bush -

See?

In an alternate universe

The caption to this photo would be: President Gore welcomes former rival, Rev George Bush to a White House. Bush now a lobbyist for the House of Saud's interests in the U.S. said that the 7 years of energy conservation spurred by the current administration along with the plummeting price of crude oil had severely crippled the Saudi's plan for national modernization. And that he hoped that Congress would back their request for a $10 billion relief effort.
