George W. Bush- archetypal concern troll. The dishonesty, the duplicity, the completely contradictory statements. No wonder the wingers love him.
In other words, Bush thinks that lawmakers ought to ignore their constituency.
get us the fuck out of this i.e.d. shit pit? are ya all ears then?
He's such a jerkstore.
It's like a kid screaming in the corner: "LOOK AT ME!!!!"
I thought he wasn't really concerned about him. Why should we be listening to him?
But that's a nice linkage there: bin Laden, MoveOn, and Code Pink.
Reminiscent of "Saddamm Hussein.....blah...blah...blah...and the attacks of 9/11", followed by Cheney's hilarious statement that he had no idea why Americans thought Hussein was behind 9/11.
And in fact, maybe this is just the beginning of a talking point to be unveiled soon: Osama, MOveOn, and Code Pink. Osama, MoveOn, and Code Pink. Repeatedly linked. And the "Osama-Obama" link grows, as a result.
Nah. This chowderhead isn't capable of such subtlety, is he?
So members of Congress should take their marching orders from bin Laden rather than from the people who elected them? Wouldn't that mean that bin Laden has won the war?
And what happened to the George Bush who no so long ago said that bin Laden was of no importance at all, that he never thought about him?
Maybe if George bush had actually put the effort where it should have been put Osama would have been delt with a number of years ago
...hey maybe if George Bush had actually paid attention to Osama's warnings two planes wouldn't have smacked into a couple of skyscrapers.
In a recent speech on Cuba, Bush spoke To ordinary Cubans. He said: "You have the power to shape your own destiny. You can bring about a future where your leaders answer to you."
Another example of Bush playing by rules that he chooses not to observe. The last I heard, Democracy was a little bit messier and more difficult than a dictatorship, but we're still sending our young men and women to die for it while Bush chooses to run the country like a dictatorship. He just writes off a significant part of the population in his arrogant ignorance.
Cuba? check

Yeah freedom sucks let's have less of if.
Well, he is speaking to a crowd at the Heritage Foundation. That crowd would get in line for the chance to lick Bush's [BLANK].
At that same meeting, Bush opens with the following quip about Heritage president Ed Feulner: "I congratulate you on your 30th anniversary as President -- (laughter.) No such thing as term limits here. (Laughter.)" Gotta love Bush's jokes about wanting to be Dictator for Life!
Anyhoo, perhaps it's Bush who oughta start listening to bin Laden's intentions. He's the one who opted for a leisurely vacation upon receiving the August 6, 2001 PDB "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S."
Moveon and code pink are both made up of Americans, Bush dosen't listen to Americans and he is the most powerful man in the world. It is good, sound advice.
Scratch that. I can.
This is the same guy who told Stephanopoulos two years ago, "We've never been stay the course, George." After years of telling the country that Democrats were "cut and runners" who did not have the intestinal fortitude to see that the "job got done".
I am not surprised. I shouldn't even be disappointed. I still live in the reality based community. Unlike Dubya.
W once again demonstrates that he is a bit unclear on the concept of a representative democracy. Which is a bit odd since he's so driven to bring that system to others around the world.
Perhaps some nice librarian can explain to him that, in representative democracies -- like the one we pretend to have here -- those elected representatives are generally EXPECTED to listen to the folks that actually elected them.
Code Pink? Sounds like a bunch of cut-and-run fags. MoveOn.org? That's on the goddamn internet, and everyone knows that's run by commie fags and Hollyweird liberals.
Woooooooooey! Mr. Prez, I sure is sorry that only 22 percent of this goddamn country approves of you. Don't know what those other 88 percent are thinkin'.
That'd be 78%. Although 88% would probably be right in BushMath!
trying to control and filter everything through fear.
Lets face it, we've allowed the terrorists to control how we act and think. Or, at least, we've allowed our perceptions of terrorists and terrorism to control the way that we conduct ourselves as a nation both at home and abroad. And the results fill me with anger and shame.
Politicians might do well to listen to the sentiments of Move On and Code Pink, being that they are increasingly representing the opinions of the majority of Americans.
Not to quibble with your point - which I agree with - but let us leave the "fuzzy math" to the boy genius.
I would almost prefer listening to bin Laden at this point rather than hearing one more ignorant, petulant word out of this jack-asses mouth, I swear.
Won't somebody tell him to go f*ck himself already?
"Let's review the countries that actually restrict that kind of access
Venezuela? check"
Excuse me? Chavez was democratically elected twice by a huge majority (much larger than any Bush could foist from the Supreme Court OR manipulated voting machines) AND was restored to office after a US-sponsored coup, in which the people (the poor majority) and even the military came out in support of their populist president.
Please, stop buying the right wing propaganda that puts Chavez in the same camp with dictators.
And plenty of Cubans love Castro, remember. Cuba DOES have free medical care of excellent quality (it exports doctors all over the world), one of the world's highest literacy rates, and a lower infant mortality rate than the good ole USofA.
Maybe some freedoms (such as access to the fruits of your country's natural resources and health care) are more valuable than others (freedom to shop, freedom to exploit, freedom to devastate the environment at will).
CodePink rocks. And now no more nonsense about them not influencing change, thank you.
