  • Tax Oil Companies and the Very Rich

    This is Bush's core constituancy, as he himself announced way back when. He started the war for them, they need to cough up the dough to pay for it. Maybe they should pay increased fees for use of their private jets and repeal some of those tax breaks. If the war becomes less profitable for them, maybe they'll actually want to end it.

  • How about reverting to a budget surplus

    Talk about reverting to type: Perino seems to have a Republican's short memory about the national ledger before her boss took over. She's so obviously out of her league that limp barbs are all she can manage. But I doubt if the White House Press Corps can recognize it, so she assumes she's effective.

    President Bush DOESN'T Obey...he gives orders as Commander in Chief.

    BTW, if he needs funds and can't get them any other way, President Bush could always route funds going to the military posts here in the US to deal with it.
