Heck of a job

Heck of a convenient little slip there also.

Oh, too bad...

I was hoping the charges were dismissed after it was revealed that while awaiting trial, the accused had hot pokers shoved up his...

Sorry, got a little carried away there.

OMG

The irony burns.

We Expect No Less

Yet another mishandled Iraq situation. The Iraq War has painted the USA as being led by a bunch of incompetent criminals.

Thank you, Bush & Co.

Rights Violated

Meanwhile, Jose Padilla was convicted, despite rights violations on a whole different scale.

There is difference.

The privilege of a commisssion is clearly shown. Let the followers of orders rot in jail, while those who gave and had the responsibilty to enforce them get away with a tap on the fingers. Good old Army discipline.

Awaiting the Reaction...

I will wait with bated breath (no, that does not mean with worms in my mouth George)for the massive Right-Wing uproar about criminals getting off due to technicalities ala the Miranda rights ruling.

I'll keep oxygen handy just in case they they take a little time to hone their outrage.

They better drop the charges or the guy might start telling everything he knows about who ordered the torture

This is a (excuse the expression) a no-brainer for military prosecutors. If this guy ever took the stand, he's start singing like Sanjaya -- loud and bad.

Meanwhile, in Courtroom C:

Fox Noise is reporting that Rep. Bob Filner, 64, (D) San Diego, "allegedly attempted to enter an area authorized for airline employees only, pushed aside the employees outstretched arm and refused to leave the area when asked by an airline employee," according to airport police.

"When MWAA officers arrived a few minutes later, the man had left the office and was waiting in the area of a bag carousel. Officers interviewed him and witnesses and released him. Before the individual left the airport, officers advised him that the airline employee would be pursuing charges," the police statement reads.

"The statement says the airport worker filed assault and battery charges, a class 1 misdemeanor.

"Filner allegedly pushed aside the agent's outstretched arm and proceeded into an area off-limits to customers, where another agent was on the line with police. The agent could be heard from the back room telling him, “You have to go.”

"He supposedly responded: “I’m not going until I get my bag. You’re treating us like animals.”

"As the Democratic lawmaker grappled with the police, his bags arrived. United Airlines issued a statement expressing regret over the incident.

_______

Now what's wrong with this story the way False Obnoxious and Xenophobic (F.O.X.) news reported this?

Well for one, the first part of the story says when the police arrived, "he was waiting in the area of a bag carousel. Officers interviewed him and witnesses and released him."

But then later in the story they say he was "grappling" with the police. Ha! not so much.

Besides, ANYBODY knows that Democratic legislators are a bunch of pussies and they can't even "grapple" with a funding bill to stop the war, let alone "grapple" with police.

Sheesh!

I LOVE IT!!!

And who is reading their rights to all the non-accused in Gitmo???

"Only officer prosecuted"...

This adminstration circumvented the law and raised a private army through Blackwater USA to perform much of its dirty work in Iraq, including torture at Abu Ghraib without government oversight. The identities of these hired mercinaries are unknown.

No one should be surprised that the only officer prosecuted was esentially let off the hook due to an alledged legal miscue. A few low level grunts were convicted and that's where blind justice will stop. The all volunteer Army is nothing more than fodder and political cover for a more complex agenda.

The Pentagon, this Administration, and our Congressional leaders will never allow us to know the true depth of the deception being perpetrated on the American public. That's why impeachment is off the table. I believe the dark truth is much more dangerous to our elected representatives if it were known. They are afraid, as well they should be.

This Makes Me Cry

This jack-ass lieutenant-colonel and all the people below and above him in the good-ole chain-o-command should be begging for mercy. But we get this instead.

And their victims have to beg for mercy. And we need to apologize for being Americans and beg for understanding every time we lweave the USA.

Let me see...

if this is how it played, apparently, the investigator lied under oath the first time. Hey, isn't that perjury? He/she will probably get off with a shrug of the judge's shoulder or a roll of his eyes. What a farce.
