Dick Cheney's heart

A former vice president is alarmed by the actions of the current one.

The letters thread is now closed.

That's fantastic and all but...

...I can write a letter to a newspaper.

Big deal.

Big Omission

Through his vast government experience, through the friends he had been able to place in key positions and through his considerable political skills, he has been increasingly able to determine the answers to questions put to the president -- because he has been able to determine the questions."

Most importantly, though, it's through Bush's willingness to be managed.

Only in the Bush administration could the term "President of the United States" be rendered ambiguous.

Mondale...

is just jealous.

Monday, July 30, 2007 08:23 AM

Let's not forget...

...it was Dick Cheney that selected Bush's Vice-President.

Mondale = class act

A few years ago, I was doing some photography at an event where he was in attendance in DT Minneapolis. On leaving, I encountered him on the sidewalk outside. I offered some light comment about how rare it is to see Vice-Presidents walking about - or something like that. He grinned and said "Oh, we're everywhere, really!"

Can anyone, even in a truly wild dream, imagine Cheney exchanging in offhand levity with a random person on a public street after leaving office?

The surprising thing about all this

is that Cheney actually has a heart.

That's newsworthy, IMO.

@kaweahdave

It's a mechanical heart -- doubtless made out of steel.

What heart

I doubt that this SOB even has a heart.His actions are nothing but heartless.

Testing the backup plan

With computers, it's always a good idea to test your backup system, to make sure that you can fail over and fail back successfully. Part of this is making sure that the backup system is working properly first, before you make it the authoritiative source.

This is why Bush got his colonoscopy before Cheney got his pacemaker recharged.

Apparently, they didn't think that there would be any shock to Cheney's system from accepting the mantle of the Presidency while Bush was under, as he's had several years to get used to the job.

The Energizer war criminal.....

On the one hand, it's too damned bad that Cheney didn't just up and die during his battery change... on the other hand, I still hold out the hope that he will be brought to face charges of War Crimes, Crimes Against Humanity, and Crimes Aagainst the Peace along with the rest of the Bushists/neo-cons...

Oh...but I'm so conflicted... because, if he does die, I could get a great deal of closure to travel to where ever his carcass is interred and piss on his grave...and I would rather have that happen sooner then later.

I guess I must defer to my more civilized self and assume that justice will return to this planet, and that these criminals will be locked up..... but my faith in such idealisitic notions is becoming thinner and thinner every day.

This guy has a heart?

Yep seems like if the law don't get ya nature will. The level of corruption this Neo nazi has permeated the world with is obviously not doing his ticker much good which is good. Karma comes in many ways and his inability to enjoy life worrying about his heart warms my heart terribly. The Germans have a word for it which loosely translates having joy in the mishaps of others. Like others here I share the joy of seeing the evil come undone. No doubt the souls of those 655,000 Iraqis and 3600 US soldiers he needlessly sent to their deaths are also rejoicing that soon he may be joining them on the other side. Can't wait to see his lying corpse well...lying. But we all owe him a great debt, after all he has secured Iraqi oil for the west...er sort of. Oh and saved halliburton from bankruptcy too. A truly great man....not.

THE LIZARD OF OZ

"We'rrreeeee Off To See the Lizard, the Wonderful Lizard of Oz...." Torticola DICKless B(rainiac) Cheney's Super-Ego, Ego and Id are busy DANCING and SINGING AWAY in his evil machinating mind, the Scarecrow of Mitt ROMNEY Marsh, the Tin Man Rudy GIULIANI and the Cowardly Lion Pasty-Faced Flip-Flopper John McPAIN. Cheney's Super-Ego ROMNEY laments, "If I only had a BRAIN!" Cheney's Ego GIULIANI laments, "If I only had a HEART!" Cheney's Id McPAIN laments, "If I only had the NERVE, COURAGE!(McPAIN already HAS A LOT OF NERVE! BUT COURAGE? HE WOULDN'T KNOW IT IF IT CAME UP AND BIT HIM IN HIS FUNDAMENT!)" Torticola Cheney shares the same concern that his Ego, Tin Man GIULANI does, namely missing a HEART instead of that Atomic-Powered, Titanium-Sprocketed Hunk of Metal that powers this LUMBERING BUCKET OF BOLTS Cheney to formulate the evil, vile machinations that this distant cousin of The Doctor's good friends, THE CYBERMEN constantly sproings into action. Lacking a HUMAN heart has not been a negative for Cheney, as a matter of fact, it makes his SOCIOPATHIC DESTRUCTIVENESS and INHUMAN COLD CALCULATING ACTS much easier to accomplish and influence CHIMPya W. Bush with them. This LIZARD of Oz Cheney needs to be DISSECTED not only to see WHAT MAKES HIM TICK but also as PUNISHMENT for his many HIGH WAR AND DOMESTIC CRIMES!
