  • Thank you Digby!

    Joan Walsh,

The URL http://www.salon.com/opinion/digby/ is still available!

Grab it now before it is gone and with it, one of the best web 2.0 new media bloggers out there.

  • Bub-eye Digby

You stood your post with valor. Where ever you go from here, don't let the bastards grind ya down!

  • We will miss you here...

But at least we know where to find you...

  • Bravo! (Brava?)

Well done and thank you for your insightful and biting commentary! You've won over another reader for your blog.

So many blogs, so little time!

  • Not sure how these things work

I don't want to detract from your big sendoff, but...could you take Julia with you?

    I'm just askin...

  • Happy Trails

...to you, until we meet again...

Digby, you are great. It's been a pleasure getting your incisive take on the madness swirling about us.

    Peace -- Lonbud

  • Darn....

Thought you were permanent here - gonna miss ya (well, okay, I can go to the blog...)

Enjoyed reading you at Salon for sure - somehow I was under the impression that having you on warroom was one of those good salon decisions, like giving Glenn Greenwald a column.

  • Nice to have you

I'm sure we all got a bit o' burnishing, as well.

  • Thanks for everything

    I have enjoyed every word...

  • Wish you could stay!

I hope that Salon can find a way to keep you here as a permanent contributor. You have helped raised the bar with your detailed analysis and your gift for concisely explaining complex issues.

  • And thank you.

I was not a Digby obsessive until you recently unmasked yourself and started posting here at Solon. But I am now.

Your Salon post about the unspoken primacy of oil to Iraq (It's not about the oil, It's about American oil companies controlling Iraqi oil. U.S. controlling who buys the oil. Keeping it away from the Chinese) is a super keeper.

    Thanks for your posts.

    EAR

  • Thanks Digby!

Hopefully it's a compliment to you to say that if Salon.com hadn't told me that you were filling in during this time, I might not have actually noticed that anything was different. War Room over the last two weeks has been just as insightful, relevant, and infuriating (its not you, its them) as ever. Thanks for keeping the high standards!

  • Thank you

    Thank you very much Digby.

  • Digby

How can Salon replace the best? And why?

  • Thank

    You

  • You say goodbye, I say hello

Having read little of your work til now, I did know of you and have always enjoyed what little I was lucky to have read. (For the record, I didn't know you kept your identity secret until your recent coming out, I guess I always heard your voice as a smart, above board woman, glad I was right) I also would never have thought I could go without my daily Tim Grieve and dreaded the news anyone was filling in.

Well I have to say, you go Digby, and special thanks to Joan Walsh for knowing you could do it so well and then asking you to. I will be reading your blog regularly now.

Digby you are quick with your wit, sharp with your intelligence, on the breaking end of the next story and all using words that most neocons can understand too. My hat is off, keep up the good work and thank you for the intelligence you contribute to the discussion and the insight you bring to even the most convoluted stories.

To sum up, YOU ROCK, DIGBY!!!!

  • Diggin' Digby!

Awww, that sucks! Hopefully you'll be back again, right? I liked the way you did your writeups, the snappy tone. Viva Digby!

  • Precedent

Glenn Greenwald first posted at Salon as a War Room guest writer too. I hope there's a spot (and a paycheck) for Digby's Hullabaloo here in the near future. (Including the still from Network, please.)

  • Add me to the Digby fan club

Two weeks flew by - I am so sorry that Salon is letting you get away back to Hullabaloo-ing without enticing you to stay here! I enjoyed everything you wrote both at this - your vacation share - and at your home blog.

As always, thank you for writing what needs to be writ large.

  • Thanks Digby

    Your insights are always appreciated.

  • Mixed feelings

I've been a total admirer of your work for quite a while, as well as a Salon subscriber for years. So it was with great satisfaction that I found you subbing for Tim Grieve (another fave) in the War Room. This, along with your recent flirtation with meeting your public, suggests that the broader recognition you so richly deserve is finally here. But...

Am I the only one who sensed a subtle change in your writing voice? Your insight and analysis is as sharp as ever, but you've been more ... ladylike in the last few weeks. It's as if you dressed for the office.

Digby, wherever this takes you, I wish you the best and hope you retain the independence to have the final word. Meanwhile, I'll be happy to continue to hang out at Hullabaloo, one of my favorite online joints.

  • Thank you Digby

Salon, and us Salon subscribers, have been lucky to have you here. See you back at Hullabaloo.

  • Salon: Don't Be Stupid, Hire Digby!

Digby is the Queen of the blogosphere. Keep her around with Glenn Greenwald and Sidney Blumenthal and rule the realm of political magazines for a long, long time.

  • Thanks, Digby!

As a regular reader of Hullabaloo, I'm grateful you are staying within reach. But your trenchant comments will be missed here, no question 'bout it.

  • Bye, bye Digby.

You are smarter than the average bear...

  • We want Digby! We want Digby!

Come on, Salon, make her a permanent offer!

(Digby, this is not to say I don't think you have a thing or two to learn about the military. But so does most of the rest of Salon. I think you're the bomb)

  • A welcome-to-DC barbecue for Tim Grieve?

Hey, Salon, I can only speak for myself as one of many DC-based Tim Grieve fans, but I'd love to get together with Tim and just meet and thank in person the guy who's had so much to do with lowering my productivity at my actual day job by giving me so much insightful analysis to read and comment on. I'm wondering if there are other Salon posters who feel the same way and would enjoy an informal get-together. Could we set a date and time and get together with him? My partner and I are going to Vermont August 22-29 but are otherwise around.

If Tim's interested, Salon knows who I am and where to find me.
