Rove's job

Rove's job now is to keep his mouth shut and collect his paycheck. This is a man whose honest testimony would no doubt result in criminal charges for members of the Bush administration both past and present.

If he was fired he might suddenly develop a "conscience" and tell the truth.

Because

Because The Decider says so! So sit down and shut up. After all, they don't work for you, they work for 'The American People'.

Welcome to Bushlandia.

Roving Rove

the Peace Corps. (I'm kind of surprised the Republicans have even kept that office open.)

Hahah -- I think they're planning to militarize the Peace Corps, in the interests of National Security and the War on Terror. They're also going to turn AmeriCorps/VISTA into a domestic surveillance and involuntary detention agency.

So what exactly is Karl Rove's job now?

Oh, he's the conscience of the Bush League, naturally. God(tm) help us all. Or Mammon. Or Satan. Whomever they're really working for.

The guy's boss calls him Turd Blossom. What do YOU think his job description is????

I can only impute that it's not a job I'd feel comfortable doing, that's for sure.

What...

What part of "Unitary Executive" don't you understand? Don't question the White House, son. I could be bad for your health, if you know what I mean...

I'm very happy Digby raises this subject.

From the moment Bush/Cheney entered the White House the deal with having Karl Rove as "Political Advisor" as well as Karen Hughes and both persons' staff amounted to that of Minister of Propaganda. That was the first signal things were going to be bad with this administration.

The press should have questioned this Rove and Hughes operation right from the start. And rattled their cages continuously. The term "up to no good" was plainly visible from the beginning and surely no good, only bad was to come of it for our country.

"A little amusing" that Rove and Taylor would pin their losses on corrupt GOP lawmakers? I guess. I'd also call it ironic. Sure, corruption did many Republican Congressmen and women in, but as has been evident from the beginning, the height of corruption for the past 6 1/2 years has been going on in the White House and their finger cabinet operations.

Wrong Question

Given that Rove and Cheney have split the powers, responsibilities and duties of the Presidency between them, the real question is why taxpayers are still paying Bush's paycheck? Last I heard, ventriloquists dummies weren't generally allowed on the public teat....
