Another round in the executive privilege fight

Facing a deadline to comply with subpoenas, former White House counsel Harriet Miers says she will not, and the RNC asks for more time.

Sadly, we know how this ends

Taken to its extreme conclusion, Miers refuses to show, Congress uses its authority to enforce it, Miers gets convicted of obstruction of justice, Bush pardons her. Deja vu all over again.

OK fellow travelers,picture this:

A group photo of Cheney, Bush, Rove, Rice, and all of the kings men lined-up outside on the White House lawn smiling with a broad grin (except Cheney who can manage only half) flipping all the world the "bird".

Impeach the bastards! The rest is just a waste of time...

Having their cake...

I've gotta say, that's ballsy. White House officials used RNC accounts to conduct official business such that this business would not be subject to the oversight and documentation given to official White House business.

And now their trying to find away to cloak these emails under Executive Priviledge as White House business!

Pretty impressive, really.

nah,nah,nah,nah

Watcha gonna do about it? Huh?

So the RNC is the White House right? And until you break down the wall of executive privilege, it wont go anywhere.

The repugs certainly should be proud about the way they have snookered America.

take it to the courts, already!

Conyers said that as the White House "does not have possession, custody or control of RNC documents ... the White House [does not have] any legal right to object to the production of documents from the RNC at this point."

Game. Set. Match.

(I purposely omitted the candy-ass 'we do not believe' part.)
