The embattled Louisiana Republican denies some of the charges against him and says he's "eager to continue" in the Senate.
  • Vitter is politically a walking dead man and he knows it.

He can pretend it's all behind him now, but the religious right will shuck him faster than Ted Haggard. Nobody in the GOP is going to want this guy at the table.

Among working class male voters, he's finished. A beer-swilling billybob from Loosiana likes to think he's man enough to get a woman into his trailer without having to pay her, even though he might have to offer some, uh, "incentives" from time to time. So Vitter is no working class hero if he's not man enough to get some bar fly into bed without having to pay for sex.

A man ain't supposed to get caught with whores. That's low class! A man with real money and class keeps a "mistress" and keeps quiet about it.

Vitter's politically dead, he just don't know it yet.
