Scooter who?
In a normal universe, I'd expect the AG to say something along the lines of "Any day we put a fucking traitor behind bars is a good day in my book". But this is the bizzaro universe where the Justice Department is there to protect criminals and the White House is only accontable to the voices in GW's head so we get no comments all around.
I guess treason has been redifined as giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the administration.
I mean, we can't talk about ongoing investigations, can we?
...the White House (either via spokesman or from Dubya's own mouth) always said there'd be no comment while the case or the investigation was "ongoing", or words to that effect.
Will we EVER get a straight comment from anyone in this administration addressing the substance of the Plame/Libby allegations, now that it's over? Probably not -- and the only indirect comment we're likely to get is Libby's pardon, along with more bleating about what a GOOD public servant he has been.
. . .and it tells us all we need to know.
one liar to another Wilson should be one of the best people to criticize Libby.
Now who outed Plame again?
Yes Salon, why not take a stand. Just last week you were calling the Democrats cowards.
Well isn't it time to take a bold stand and push for the VIce President to resign. After all he is GUILTY of outing a covert CIA agent as revenge for what the agent's spouse did. Perhaps he could get away with this legally, but Mr Cheney is certainly morally unfit to continue as the Vice President.
This seems clear to me. Am I missing something Salon?
Did the moron in chief express any regret or condolences toward the VICTIMS in this case? What a major asshole! Treasonous asshole!
he just couldn't remember to do it. Cheney wanted to comment too but was hooked-up to life support in his undisclosed location. Bush was looking for the correct spelling of the word "pardon"...
