"Ambassador to China," McCain quipped back.

That probably was no quip. He was serious.

McCoin knows where his masters are. Certainly the so-called "high tech industry" knows where its biggest market is, and where its hardware is manufactured.

It would be far better

...to pick talented people from state and local governments rather than these supposed wizards from business and technology. Government is not a business nor is it a technology. What's needed are people who know how to get along with other people and make things happen.

Success in business and even in technology depends an awful lot more on luck than most people like to think. Just take Bill Gates (please); nothing but luck got his puny and silly OS on the first IBM PCs--without that initial break, Microsoft would just be another also-ran.

And Ballmer as ambassador to China

...is just a ridiculously bad idea. Ballmer has NEVER shown any ablity to get along with anyone. All he knows how to do is be arrogant and lord it over people--something a monopoly can easily get away with. That person is going to make a good ambassador? I don't think so.

Futhermore, he's had problems following the law.

I got yer smart guys right here!

What a great visual to see Keith Olbermann and Al Gore together last night on Keith's show 'Countdown'.

Both in their prime goin' head on. WOW!

Keith really worked the big question from several angles, but never got a direct definitive answer. It was great practice for Gore, because as someone with delicate Gore-dar I'm convinced, and so is he, that he's probably going to run.

Keith heard it was 50/50. I saw 70/30.

After the Congressional hearing I felt just the opposite.

But now, after listening to him these past weeks with his new book 'Assault on Reason', he's campaigning from within.

He just doesn't want, (or need) to do the more public 'candidate' thing.

There's still time for him to play.

And I'm starting to wanna be involved, again.

Shit!

The man in the Edgar Suit seems to forget that

Pakistan has already "slipped" the parts for a n-bomb or two to one-third of the axis of evil, North Korea. The Pakistani perp of that modern marvel is under "house arrest" for that one. Consider the well know fact that Pakistan (our huge ally in the war on terror)has a few of their own n-devices laying around. Given their track record, the probability of terrorists getting a hold of one of them is much greater there than anywhere.

Buckle up. Once Musharraf is launched, (and that maybe soon) Islamic leaders much closer to Bin Laden will come to power and all hell will break lose. Bush and company not only knocked down the mother of all Islamic hornet nests, they clubbed it open and dared the bees to sting. Bring em' on...
