Yup, not a hint of inconsistency, hypocrisy, or flip-flopping from a real conservative like George Allen; he's displayed a sneering contempt for porch monkeys from the word go, and sees no reason whatever to change his tune now. Nor, of course, is it the least bit surprising that Senator Macacawitz finds nigger-hatred (much less anti-Semitism) completely "irrelevant" to the ability to serve as President of the United States; indeed, it's clear that the good old "Republican base" that voted for him regards it as a profoundly laudatory character trait.
Nonetheless, there's no reason the rest of humanity ought to go along with his self-serving crap, and every time he has the balls to stick his snout out of his hole for the rest of his life, he should be asked, "When - and why - did you decide to stop calling black people niggers?"
Hopefully more Repugnicans will use this or similar expressions in their campaigns, afterall Allen was so successful!
Delay, Allen, Cunnigham, the GOP presidential hopefuls, etc.etc., etc. They are all of the same ilk. Perhaps not as bigoted as some but surly not thinking of what might be best to erase poverty, end pre-emptive wars, and would vow to take an oath not to use fear as a tool to govern. Until they all step up and denounce class disparity, neo-con war tactics and fear-mongering, we'll have another round of Bush-it. Giuliani is the scariest of them all. He can and does lie with a straight, convincing, face. He's the scary one...
Did you ever get around to making good on your threat to shove those liberals' soft teeth down their whiny throats? Just wondering. As a Northern Virginian Democrat, I'm hoping that GOP candidates will hire Allen as campaign adviser. He did so much for Senator Webb last year.
and I live in Virginia, but, he lost by less than 10,000 votes out of millions - this is not exactly a decisive loss.
No need being snide about his losing - it was a very close race, and his words speak for themselves . . .
It's important to see the big picture here. Webb came from way behind (in fact, he wasn't even taken seriously for much of his campaign) so to win by 10,000 is huge, in my book. Allen made threats to increase his machismo and presumably his appeal to the redder parts of Virginia and he needs to be held accountable for his words.
