  • D.Cheney and The Greater American -ME Co-Prosperity Sphere

Manifest Destiny being a wonderfilled/wonderworking "pillar of fire" for Americans since a long time ago surely is the beacon that G.W.Bush, D.Cheney and NeoCon Gang and outriders that came/come with them followed into Iraq and would like to see appear in Iran. The other day when D.Cheney did that "walking tall" stunt in front of an American taxpayer funded warplane on a American taxpayer funded supercarrier after having gotten there on the taxpayers tab you just knew Mr.9% was having a genuine "I may not be popular--big deal--go fuck yourselves" media moment.

It should be plainly evident at this juncture in Iraq that the "get control of the oil" deal presently being force fed Iraq by the Bush pro-petro biz regime is of paramount importance. One need not be a crystal ball gazer to surmise Dick's little "stop by and chitchat" with some Iraqi puppets was in large part focused on American pillage and plunder rights. It being not widely reported(not very surprising)in mainstream USA media circles that the Iraqi Oil Law is an American creation.

The "big four" energy combines(BP,Shell,Exxon,Chevron)saw it before the Iraqis did. An American consultant group(BearingPoint) was in Iraq at the American Embassy to create it. Now that the desired "fixes" are in and set the idea is to force the American controlled Iraqi puppet government to push it through and sign off on it. If one takes time to read and learn about this so called Iraqi Oil Law it soon becomes clear the big money is slated to leave Iraq and land in the very deep pockets of American backed western energy corporations. Of course the American taxpayers and soldiers who paid for it with dollars and lives will then be expected to pay the going price gouge rate to use Iraqi derived oil products.

A.Capone,M.Lansky and "Bugsy" would fully understand this.

It should be obvious at this late point that Iraqi "security" issues have become the "gum on the shoe" hitch.

Americans can not kill their way out of this, spend their way out or ironically(in post-Saddam Iraq) dictate the outcome they seek. The Bush2WH is now trying to buy more time with it's throw-away and very doomed "surge into Iraq". Of course "staying on" in Iraq very much is the long plan...how else can you be the puppeteer to the puppets? Even the DC DEMS go along with that idea...just can't come right out with it tho...might screw up 2008 election outcomes. Thus...talk the talk but don't do the walk is the current DC DEMS show and dance tune.

So...DeathDealer Dick is swaggering across American warship decks threatening Iran--the Persian Gulf(Floridian Gulf?) being just off the coast of Florida. How dare Iran meddle there!Upstarts! A genuine "Don't Tread on Me" D.Cheney moment.

    D.Cheney...a Great American.

  • Realistically speaking

Iraq is permanently broken. They will never get their shit together, never. Setting benchmarks is laughable. So when we do leave that little plot of hell and it all completely falls apart then what? Not that having it fall apart is either a completely bad thing nor is it avoidable. None the less it will happen. So? I suppose we could just build a big fence around it or something. But why postpone that? We should just throw the keys to that flaming shithouse over our shoulder and leave, tomorrow. Sticking around for a week a month a year a decade isn't going to make the least difference. There are now about 2 million + Iraq expats who have left the country, mostly for western Europe. Anything that's not welded to the floor is being stolen and we could easily take all the shitty Mitsubishi Galant's in the world, send them over there for carbomb duty. Benchmark? What benchmark could that be?

  • and your question is what?

We just need Jeff Gannon to get back in there and get to the bottom of things. Don't we? What? Well, shoot. Someone approved him once. Get him back.

  • You say surge I say escalation into failure

Back in the late sixties, early seventies, The Rowan and Martin Show did news skits long before SNL and the Daily Show. In one of them they mimicked the government's claim that their escalation was a precursor to peace by proudly proclaiming that "Today no one was killied in Vietnam and peace broke out as each side paused to reload." For this joke Dan Rowan and Dick Martin ended up on Nixon's enemies list and the show was eventually cancelled for political reasons. While SNL still tortures us.

You who read this are probably too young to remember this moment and sadly I am too old not to. Worse I will be long gone when the consequences of this administrations actions will most come home to roost for you. In 1968 an entire generation set this country on fire to stop what would happen to them or their children. We are still awaiting your response or do you still gape in awe that all protests so far are led by your grandparents.

We are doing this for you and it is time you joined in if you actually care about what happens next.

  • Thinking of innocent Iraqi mothers, 'over there'....

I came across this website chronicaling what I believe to be the beginning of the end in Iraq.

    http://forums.muslimvillage.net/lofiversion/index.php/t897.html

When I think of this Mother's Day and feel the love of my children, I can't help think of the horrendous damage we've done to the already impoverished mothers and families in Iraq.

But, more importantly, I can't help but think about what we've done to the minds of those Iraqi children surrounded by nightmarish violence 24 hours a day.

Just as Israel is and will be perpetually plagued by their violent Palestinian and Lebonese step-children, so too will the U.S. now be forever plagued with another new crop of traumatized children turned violent.

Only this time they're 'over there'. Waiting.
