  • Meanwhile, In Bizarro World...

Bizarro Bush has lowered taxes, cut government spending, fought global warming, poverty, hunger, and achieved Bizarro World peace. For all these deeds, Bizarro Bush is universally loved, and has been awarded the Biz-Nobel Peace Prize.

  • And I Thought Irony Was Dead

"I think it -- I'm just envisioning what it would be like to be a young soldier in the middle of Iraq and realizing that politicians have all of the sudden made military determinations. And in my judgment, that would put a kid in harm's way, more so than he or she already is."

Obviously the report of irony's death, like those of Mark Twain, were somewhat premature. Last time I looked Junior was a politician. Not only that, he's a "Warshington" politician. I guess he still believes the canard about a person being more likely to be killed in LA than in Baghdad.

At this point it's become blindingly obvious that he's just tryiing run out the clock, desperately hoping that somebody, anybody, else will get tagged with blame for the mess that he's created. After all, it's a strategy that worked for him all his life.

  • I could feel good about it

especially if I were one of the ones coming home under the plan. I know I wouldn't feel any worse about being called home by a politician than being told I just won 3 extra months of duty by my commander. Wait a minute, they read that in the paper didn't they.

  • Bush Bizarro World

Why is this man even speaking. His approval rating is down to 28%. He is not running for re-election. Finally, everyone knows when he opens his mouth, he lies. Nonstop. Every single issue he raises can be debunked instantly.

The more important question is why Mr. Kucinich's impeachment resolution of Dick Cheney(#333) is not getting any support from the Democrats? Clearly, the Vice President has committed serious crimes that are in clear violation of our constitution. His manipulation of the CIA to cook the intelligence could be the single largest transgression against our nation in its history.

I strongly urge everyone reading this post to contact their local congressman and tell them to get behind #333.

  • When o when

will Congress get off its a** and impeach...

  • curious?

Does George Bush still get high approval ratings with the military and military families? I have a strange feeling he still has alot of support there...talk about irony.

  • Double Bizzaro...

This Bush guy, who can't stop reminding us he's "commander in chief" is seriously delusional. He fires them when they disagree, then affords them absolute wisdom when that's works for his political/rhetorical expedience.

Does he not understand why we have a civilian in the role of Commander in Chief?

or maybe Bush is right...now...after all, we have a corroborating quote from General George Ripper from "Dr. Strangelove": "...He [Clemenceau] said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought."

    Crazy world...yup, I'd buy a ticket.

  • As further "proof"...

...we have the testimony of Laura Bush earlier this week that NO ONE suffers more about our presence in Iraq than our President and the First Lady.

Honestly, does even one person (who hasn't been clinically diagnosed as mentally ill) seriously believe that? Even ONE?

Oh, sure -- Dubya ponders the wonders and terrors he's wrought, night and day. No doubt he thinks his drunken threat to go "mano a mano" with his disapproving father years ago was similar to the dangers awaiting our combat forces in Iraq. He can RELATE, man, he can RELATE.

Pardon me while I vomit repeatedly.

  • Oh yeah, sure

I'll just bet all those kids in Iraq are really upset that Congress is trying to wrestle their fate out of the clutching claws of a draft-dodging dimwit who has fired all the generals who ever had a reasonable idea based on the reality of war in Iraq. Who cut funding and twisted bureaucratic arms to see that their benefits would be undermined and their treatment for the aftermath of war would be compromised. Who hasn't lost one night's sleep over their suffering. Who uses them for photo ops but doesn't go to their funerals. Who sent them into battle without proper equipment, but made sure Halliburton could pay six figures to the guy who slaps the hash onto their trays.

Yeah...I'm sure they are quaking in their desert boots at the prospect that maybe finally someone will try to do something intelligent for a change.

Bush and the military? Most of them now think he's as much of a fraud and an incompetent as we do. Mission accomplished, shrub.

Anyone who really doubts how bad it is....check out the article on Lt. Col Yingling in the Washington Post. He has published a blistering criticism of Bush's lock-step generals, (the ones who survived the purges before the surges) and the damage they have done, not just to the war in Iraq, but to the foundations of the military, itself. Nothing like a loyal Bushie in uniform to muck things up.

  • And in Related News...

With the Administration crawling away from the wreckage of another bad week, the DoD announces the capture of one of "al-Qaida's most senior and most experienced operatives".

Oh, by the way, he was detained more than 4 months ago.

Well, at least he's not yet another "#2 man"; we've already got the complete collector's edition of those.

    January 20th, 2009.

  • Im-fucking-peach already

Enough non-binding blah-de-blah. Bush is not going to budge because he knows he doesn't have to, and he's not interested in what's best for the country or what the vast majority of the American people demand. He's not smart enough to think of alternatives, so his only stance is to stubbornly stick out his jaw and say, "Oh yeah? Make me!"

Let's fucking make him. The House MUST begin impeachment investigations against Bush and the Dark Prince. No other option is acceptable.

  • Has Marion Barry been sneaking crack into the oval office?

    Just asking.

  • He's been President for six years

Before he came to Washington he was a politician. His father was a politician in Washington. His grandfather was a politician in Washington.

Yet, somehow, inexplicably, George W. Bush doesn't believe he's a politician or a Washington insider?

Isn't there a sanity clause in his contract somewhere?
