Just heard an interesting suggestion on the radio - filing a grievance with the Texas Bar about Alberto Gonzales. Here's what the blurb on www.texasbar.com says:
Some examples of Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct violations
are:
Conviction of a serious crime or other criminal act;
Engaging in fraud, deceit or misrepresentation;
Obstructing justice;
Influencing improperly a government agency or official;
From the TX Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct:
Rule 8.02 Judicial and Legal Officials
(a) A lawyer shall not make a statement that the lawyer knows to be false or with reckless
disregard as to its truth or falsity concerning the qualifications or integrity of a judge,
adjudicatory official or public legal officer, or of a candidate for election or appointment to
judicial or legal office.
HMMMMMMMM ...
He has a personality disorder.
One is a sweet caring father figure who want to protect his little attorneys.
Two is a sly character that wants to manipulate those in charge and those below.
Three is a staunch party man who does what his superiors tell him to.
Four is a sad little boy in the corner who doesn't know what the hell is going on and just wants everyone to stop yelling.
Now we know. Everyone in government is officially nuts.
Only 2 ways to view this: either he is grossly incompetent and uninvolved in his job, or he is a huge liar (and a grossly incompetent liar at that!).
truly incompetent liars. Two full weeks (and two extra days) to prep for spewing a string of lies that even he can't make sense of. Does Bush have anyone who has half a brain working for him?Nauseating isn't it?
This moron can't remember anything, and what little he does remember, he's too inarticulate to explain.
Can anyone provide anything resembling an official job description for the position of US Attorney? Might be fun to compare and contrast that job description with the real picture that is emerging about Bush administration expectations for these officials.
And to beat a dead horse, weeks ago I modestly suggested that the standard oath of office administered to US Attorneys (and other executive branch officers) should be modified to reflect reality. All those who are actually expected to show primary allegiance to the President, rather than to the United States of America and its Constitution, ought to take an oath pledging to preserve, protect and defend the PRESIDENCY instead.
There's something to be said for honesty and transparency, instead of empty words and false promises, don't you think? It would be SO refreshing, as well as SO unusual.
I hit up the web sites of the so-called MSM FoxNews, CNN, ABC and MSNBC. Here are their headlines:
Fox: Decision to Fire Attorneys
'Justified and Should Stand'Gonzales stands by firings of prosecutors
MSNBC: Firings"Justified"
CNN: Gonzales: No partisan politics in prosecutor firings
ABC: Gonzales Faces Skepticism From Lawmakers
All of these "news" outlets managed to find a suitably heroic picture of Gonzales emphatically hammering his point home. It looks like the spin cycle has started already.
Cause there's a whole lot of Bush manure to wade through here. We have an Attorney General, President, and Vice President incapable of telling the truth, violating the Constitution every time they can and he'll get away with it. These guys will have to be taken out of office kicking and screaming. IMPEACH BUSH and CHENEY and try them for war crimes!
