Tony Snow
Ah, Tony Snow: King of absurdspeak.
-
Video?
Did you see the video of this? Was there laughter from the press corps? Did anyone call Snow on this?
-
He Might Have A Point
I watch Snow live, and listen, and I can't wade my way through the bullshit and come up with anything coherent. What could a transcript add?
-
Could somebody clue Tony in that it's awfully hard
to prove perjury beyond a reasonable doubt WITHOUT a transcript.
-
it's true
These people are like a planned-obsolescence program for humor -- how can we ever again tell the old lawyer joke (Q: How can you tell when a lawyer is lying? A: Check to see if their lips are moving.) when the Bushists live that reality for us daily?
The trolls who write in every week to tell us that Tom Tomorrow has "phoned it in again" do have a bit of a point -- whatever lunacy anyone can produce by way of satire is inevitably outdone by the actual behaviors of the Bushists.
-
Hypothesis
There is a strong positive correlation between the congnitive dissonance associated with lying all the time and becoming a bungle-tongued idiot.
Anecdotal evidence is suggested by the many incoherent ramblings of Bush 43 and all of his minion. Excepting Bush these are people who otherwise and previously appeared to be intelligent, thoughtful, and articulate. These same people, within a year of joining the administration, became talking points broadcasters saying things that do not make any sense.
Condeleeza Rice, Colin Powell, Scott McClellan, and now add Tony Snow, a man who used to make his living by offering clever and intellectually honest commentary are now ridiculous shells of there former selves. It's almost as if Bush has some kind of highly contagious (and congenital) Stupid virus.

Playing keep away
Just like the taller schoolyard bully who steals your hat.
You want your hat back? Here is, right here, take it. Whoops, guess you'll have to be faster next time.
Here, jump up for it. I'll hold it right here and you just jump up and get it. Here we go. Whoops, guess you were too slow that time.
Here, I'll hold it out here like this. Go ahead, try for it. Whoops, oh well, I guess you don't want your hat back. I think I'll throw it down the storm drain.
That's what it's like watching that bastard Tony Snow at a White House presser.
-
This from the same creep that said
when the American soldier death count in Iraq reached the 2500 mark: "it's just a number".
The whole press corp should have gotten up and walked out of the room, past the buffet table and out into some fresh air...
-
That would be something to see

That would be something. Snow: " Hey, Press Corps, people who write things down for a living. What do you gain from writing stuff down? And the answer is: Not much."
-
If they didn't call Snow on this
If they didn't quote his words from 1998, when he scoffed at the notion of Clinton's aides NOT testifying under oath in public as the natural order of things in a democracy, if they didn't then the Wash. press corps have notched themselves a new low in butt-licking cowardice.
-
Umm..to clarify
Snow was saying that testimony under oath in public WAS the natural order of things in a democracy, of course. Now, it's an intrusion.
-
If only . . .
In "Inferno" by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle, an author descends through an updated sequence of the Circles of Hell that includes a pool of liquid feces in which people are standing. As they speak, feces comes out of their mouths. The author asks his guide, who tells him they wrote advertising.
How I wish, OH HOW I WISH that there were a Hell with a Circle like this to which the likes of Tony Snow was headed.

Bush Crime Family
I'm curious to see how the Bush Crime Family (arguably the most successful criminal organization in USA history) is going to dig their way out of this impediment to NWO. Looks like their total disregard for the American Public is in fool swing, thanks to the colorful array of parrots (read Tony Snow) and their tireless squawking.
Down with the Bush Family, is what I say...and any TRUEBLUE AMERICAN would agree. and i send out a huge 'FU@K YOU' to those piece-of-garbage apologists who have done more for Al Qaeda than gunpowder and jet-fuel.
-
what i want someone to ask is...
http://americablog.blogspot.com/2007/03/tony-snow-says-president-must-let-his.html
Snow said Clinton shouldn't use his privileges, how is it ok now?

Lewis Carroll at the Podium!
Dear god in heaven but we have more than fallen down the rabbit hole with this administration! We have been shoved into it head first and then plunged vigorously! I am waiting for the day when I hear Helen Thomas rise up and scream, 'What the hell are you talking about?' Of course she would never do that, but it is going to take that level of heat to make the people of this country and maybe some of the spineless Bushies to recognize they are being taken for a ride and there is no return trip! We need some normally calm, cool-headed and respected public person to open a can of whoop-ass and speak plainly. Of course, Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly will take to their fainting couches in feigned horror at such an outrageous display, but most of us will applaud and say 'it's about time'.
-
But Tony, darling
We get so very much from the transcripts of your briefings, why, we chew over them until what flavor they had is all gone.
