Maybe that was the deal

... that he made to keep his job.

So there is no longer an "ongoing investigation"

Now the White House press secretary can start asnwering questions about the outing of the undercover CIA agent and the subsequent coverup....right?

If Scoots was going to flip, he would have done it before, so as to plead guilty

Flipping now won't help him very much... besides, there will be appeals.

Will Fitzgerald turn his documentation over to Congress and have them investigate?

We are surely not done with this story. Rove and Cheney are the real actors we want to catch in this story.

"Inactive" is not closed

While Fitzgerald says he does "not expect to file any additional charges," he also stated that if "new information comes to us that would warrant us taking some action, we will do that." With Libby's sentencing still to be determined - and possible Congressional investigations - new information may very well be forthcoming.

So, it's not over.

Why no "Leak" indictments? Because no crime was committed!

OK, Libs, see if you can follow this. After all the grand jury and trial testimony by Libby, Rove, Cheney, and the reporters, you're telling me that Fitzgerald can't make a case for an indictment for the underlying "leak"? Maybe, that's because no crime was committed, did you ever think of that? Can you accept that as the truth? If not, why? Apparently, Fitzgerald can, and he knows alot more about this case than you'll ever know. So, if a crime was committed than I'm sure he'd prosecute, but he's not, so I'm inclined to believe no crime was committed. Apparently, Ms. Plame was not an undercover agent after all.

Maybe you guys should calm down and be happy you tripped up one of the Bush/Cheney team and just be happy that one man's career has been destroyed, when apparently, Ms. Plame's was not, as she and her publicity, and money (?), hungry husband want you to believe.

BE, there WAS a crime committed

Libby was convicted of lying and obstructing justice. He is no longer an alleged felon, but IS a felon. Given that the crimes he has been convicted of were in regards to his impeding a federal investigation, wouldn't you say it is somewhat likely that there might be something to the leak? Otherwise, why would Libby have obstructed the investigation to the point that he is now (barring an overturn in appeals court) going to jail for (until he is pardoned by Bush)?
