Where does that come from? I can think of a number of mayors whom the title would fit much better...maybe not Antonio Villaraigosa of LA, although it fits him better than Rudy. But how about Mike Fahey of Omaha, who is a democrat, considerably more liberal than Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson and considerably more decent than Rudy.

That's the funniest joke I've heard in quite a while.

I lived in the NYC suburbs when he came into office, and was making frequent trips into the city both professionally and socially at the time. Oh yes, he did make the trains run on time, and stopped the homeless from washing your windshield, which gave great comfort to my fellow suburbanites. But he did it with with swaggering bands of black-shirted cops who knew they were above the law. He made Times Square safe for suburbanites with his sanitary Disnification. Like Bush, he treated his critics as if they were invisible. He ruled only for those who supported him, and I do mean ruled.

He took great credit for a falling crime rate, which was a national phenomenon related to the attenuation of crack availability, and which would have happened anyway no matter who was mayor.

A thinner skinned politician doesn't exist. His fascist rants on the radio when someone disagreed with him are legion. Anyone disagreeing with the Emporer wasn't only wrong, he/she was SICK, SICK, SICK! Woe unto any reporter who said anything the mayor didn't like, and the press in general got his number very quickly. Only Mario Cuomo comes close to Rudee in his paranoid, intolerant, vindictive, treatment of critics.

The kinder, gentler Rudee couldn't even bring himself to tell his second wife in person they were finished. He paraded around with his mistress daring anyone to notice. Wife #2, and the mother of his only son, got hung out to dry publicly, and had to show her attractive smiling face on TV every morning as if the headlines and gossip columns were talking about someone else.

Emporer Rudee will make our unworthy, stubborn, ignorantly pig-headed, disaster of a president look like a pussy-cat in comparison were he ever to be "elected." If he is the Repugs candidate, which is highly doubtful given his alleged social views, I will support anyone, including Joe Lieberman, the Dems nominate.

...and we're going to help them no matter how many tax breaks we have to give to the rich!

In my mind Rudy Giuliani will always be up to his eyeballs in 9/11.

Why does no one who talks about 9/11 and how much of a "hero" Giuliani was point out the retarded decision he made, in the face of much criticism, to put New York City's emergency response center IN THE WORLD TRADE CENTER COMPLEX! This, after it had already been attacked by terrorists once, and was clearly a likely future target.

This is the problem, a photo-op of a man appearing heroic is being allowed to trump criminally incompetent leadership. Our country does not need another symbol "leading" us by making senseless decisions.
