  • Appropriate choice 'o words

    Emphasis on the word "blown."

  • And in other news

Mary Cheney announced that she would have earlier announced that her father Dick was the father of her child, but she didn't want to give the Democrats an issue to attack Republicans for promoting incest.

  • These clowns never learn -

it's always the cover-up that gets them into serious trouble.

  • What proportions?

a Fiftysomething Rep (resentative or ublican, take youir pick) and a teenage page, what proportions are these and who can blow( ask Foley)them out of what? Sure as hell not a Repugnican!

  • did you just see that

can't get to my email, wanted to let you know CNN just carried the senator from oregon speaking in congress about iraq, and using the word "crime". i'll look for better documentation, its not on the website yet.

  • The Congress in a Nutshell

Gee, kinda says it all, doesn't it.

I was going to say "Republicans" instead of "Congress", but you know, I'm not sure that a Dem would act any differently in the same position. Sad state of affairs, ain't it?

  • Page emails

What's his excuse for not telling Shelly Capito (WV-2), a Bush loyal republican and the third member of the page committee?

She took a lot of heat for being out of the loop on this in her campaign, and these people just let her look stupid and ignorant for not playing her role in supervising this program.

  • In Other Words....

"We'd rather hush up and protect the guilty than take responsibility for protecting minors from a sexual predator that we now KNOW about out of fear that we'll lose an election over this."

On "taking responsibility for one's own actions": Score, Zero

On "Protecting minors from sexual predators": Score, Zero.

On "We have nothing to hide": Score Zero.

On "Winning the Mid-Term election": Score, Zero.

The Republicans were dealt devastating pre-election damage by Foley, the moral equivalent of a suicide bomber. Had they seen to this matter and disciplined Foley in a timely, above board way, say in the spring of 2006 at the latest, the damage would have been much less.Seems to me they created their own problems, here. What useful conclusions can be drawn from this?

  • How nice

of Shimkus to look-out for the better interests of the Dems. Do these bozos understand why they lost the majority? His haughty answer deserves an impeachment. He has neither ethics nor morals. All this brought o you by your local, friendly, moral G.O.P.
