Snow Job
We have a former FOX guy as Whitehouse spokesman. How the hell can we give any big lectures and accusations about Al-Jazeera?
-
Like I said,
The White House Comedy Club with your host, Tony Snow.
-
Good idea
Yes, every time an administration official makes a joke, we should post the current death toll of this unfortunate and ill-advised war. That will certainly convince others of our (liberal) rationality.
-
Gender and anonymous sources
It's within the bounds, when you have already specified you are keeping the source anonymous (and why), to obfuscate the gender. The use of "she" doesn't guarantee the source was, in fact, a woman.
-
Snow is just jealous
His real dream job is to host his own comedy news show like Stewart and Colbert.

Not Rice....
As Dan Froomkin notes in his column today, it wasn't Rice, but O'Sullivan...
"Figuring out who that particular senior administration official was isn't hard, by the way. In her nytimes.com story this morning, Sheryl Gay Stolberg identifies the official as having attended the Bush-Maliki breakfast meeting, and refers to the official as "she." There were only two women at the breakfast: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who quickly jetted off to the West Bank afterwards, and deputy national security adviser Meghan L. O'Sullivan."

White House "press corps"
The reason they go along with this nonsense is that they are all chumps, and I include Helen Thomas. If they had any shred of professional ethics left, they would never again attend a "press conference" given by these cretins.

Tony Snow & Company
Tony Snow is just like the rest of the Bush Administration: a bunch of doughnut holes-you know, they'er all a bunch of assholes. And we have to put up with this circus for another 2 years. Maybe Bush and Chaney both will have things happen to them which takes them out................

US Death Toll
Sorry to be a nitpick. But I think it's good to be precise. The US *military* death toll is at 2882. The US death toll, including contractors and reporters, crossed the 3K threshold a week or two ago.

Guess the Source
Of course it isn't just the WH press corps...
Still, many in Washington believe that the imprimatur of Baker and Company alone will work miracles. "It's the preface to the final stage," said a prominent Republican who has served in prior administrations. "It sends the message that Republicans are pretty frustrated on the ground in Iraq and pretty frustrated on the ground at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It makes the White House know that 'stay the course' at any level is not a winning solution."

Um, Kissinger? 41? Rummy?
No, don't tell me. I prefer to be teased.
