RoboCalls may have decided seven close races

In a semi-answer to my earlier question, the Daily Muck reports that seven close losses by Democrats were in the 24 Districts that received the robo-call barrages by the NRCC. This needs to be a top priority for reform by Democrats, as well as subject to a Congressional investigation. Here'a link for more information.

Too bad there's not some way to force new elections in those Districts.

In fairness, it should be noted that presumably one of the reasons these Districts received the robo-call barrages was because they were expected to be close, so it is hard to say whether the calls were indeed the critical factor. Although some polling could probably give a good idea whether that was the case.

Madrid

Heather Wilson declared victory last night, though Dems charge that she has jumped the gun, leading to a little televised snit between party lawyers. Wilson has a 1600 vote lead with about 4000 ballots left to count, and a recount is looking likely.

This may be sub. req'd:

Don't Relax Yet

The Senate isn't set as long as Lieberman can still hold the threat of defecting to the republicans over Harry Reid's head.

It's a tragedy that this traitor to democracy and the Democrats is going to be able to terrorize the Senate dems into copying his sucking-bush's-dick ways.

Shumer and the rest of the Senate dems who refused to get 100 percent behind Ned Lamont are very soon going to be regretting that decision. Lamont, for all his flaws, is a loyal democrat. Lieberman is an egomaniac looking to sell his seat and his soul to the highest bidder.

That defecting will not only destroy Senate dems but also condemn the nation to slavery and destitution under the Usurper bothers Lieberman not at all.

I wish there were a way to box him into a harmless corner, but I don't think there is.

Put your faith in the House of Representatives, as the founding fathers intended. The Senate is as out of reach as it was before the election.

How many of these Districts involved illegal robo-calls

Out of curiosity, do we know how many of these districts (and other close races)involve the misleading robo-calls sponsored by the RCCC? Is there going to be any investigation or consequences if they do?

hmm

It's pretty funny that there's a candidate Buchanan again too, this time around.
