Limbaugh and Coulter
Rereading the article and the pertaining comments,I suddenly realized that both of the above named would profit greatly from the same stemcell research they are so vividly mocking. It could enable them to get their brains into sane condition, a fact that they obviously dont realize. By the way a certain GWB would also be a target for brain improvement, if only to stay the course.

impressed by both
i listen to rush at various times and heard his attack on mj fox. his observation is not that unique or cruel really. i remember a dance reviewer for a liberal paper complaining angrily that he had been asked to review a dance by a famous aids personality and he said it was too difficult a situation to treat it as art. make up your mind,, he said , what am i supposed to do here? obviously he didnt like the dance and felt he could not say so. so there is that quandary and rush explained it well as such and in his full blown manner gave his opinion. good for him. as to mj fox, what a gentleman. i have watched him on various talk shows and he was pitch perfect in his observat ion of the events now swirling about him. my opinion of him is sky high. there is too much virtue mongering on both the left and the right at this point. the oh my god syndrom is so deafening now that i have tuned out all the messages until next tuesday. i dont go to church much , the political ads are more than enough.

A Good Answer to Michael J. Fox
What a false dichotomy it is between Michael J. Fox and Rush Limbaugh.
With all due respect to Rush, I wish that he would publicly say that he'll no longer have anything to say about Michael J. Fox, and instead he will introduce a televised debate between Fox and Charles Krauthammer, who suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury while in medical school, and who now in his work as a conservative columnist has done a national service in exposing the phony victimology involved in the stem cell debate.
That is a debate that Michael J. Fox would do well to avoid. Charles Krauthammer, unlike Fox, has read and understands the relevant scientific issues.

Elephant Dick
Phony victimology in the stem cell research "argument"? Hundreds of thousands of real victims dieing real deaths from real diseases that might be cured, or allayed, by embryonic stem cell research forbidden by the luddite pharisees like Bushit and, apparently, you. Our family is in the midst of the silent maelstrom that is Alsheimer's disease, and there are thousands more each year so stricken as our population ages. On behalf of my failing father, who was a history professor but can no only remember four or five peoples names in this world, how dare you, you hypocritcal bastard? Republikans are the party of death, death to Moslems who have done us no harm, death to sudanese children starving by the tens of thousands, and death to enemy combatants that are chosen at the sole discretion of the fuerher. I pray no such evil visits your family, elephant dick. You haven't the heart for it.

Limbaugh is now completely over the edge now
Limbaugh may have had a point in the 80s and early 90s in working to oust some Democrats who were entrenched in congress and had become corrupt. But today, not only is that situation reversed - with Republican hegemony in all branches of government - but Rush now seems so beholden to the political party in power his is sacrificing credibility by shamelessly schilling for anti-science anti-medicine 527 groups. I went to Limbaugh's website today and I'm not sure which parts were more frightening - the parts that sound like Joe McCarthy or the parts that promote those seeking to revive Spanish Inquisition style thinking. If Limbaugh ever had a point, it has now been obliterated by this purposeful promotion of fear and ignorance.
If Republicans can't state their policy positions and become elected on that basis without depending on orchestrated financial support from those who oppose science and knowledge, then they shouldn't be office holders in a republic. Not in this century, at least. If Republicans don't start speaking up and denouncing this dark-ages anti-science agenda, I may vote straight party D for the first time in my life. Either that, or God needs to produce another good flood to drown these crazies out.

Who has time?
Always wondered *who* exactly is listening to Limbo?
I mean, most of us (real) people have to work, take care of our families, help others in need, serve our community, etc., ad infinitum.
Seems to me, if you have time to listen to the radio, then you are: a) retired; b) unemployed; or c) on disability.
No wonder the Dittoheads are so bitter.

GOP vs. Moral Authority
It should come as no surprise that Limbaugh and Coulter would attack anyone who brings their moral authority and experience to the table. The party of morality and ethics and sanctimony abhor debate with those whose experience brings with it moral authority. The Swift-Boating of war heroes is only one example. Never having served in the military much less served with distinction, the keepers of the morality flame have to deride and denigrate in order to dismiss opposition. Lacking any experience other than being shills and flacks, they are loathe to have to confront those steeped in experience. The attacks will continue, not abate, as the erosion of GOP power continues.
