It's always been that way

Joe is carrying on as if he were a ranking member of the Israeli goverment. Influential members of the Israeli goverment have found it exceptable to "consider sexual encounters with female employees a right" of privilage. So Joe seems to be happy with the long traditiions of his own kind. Demean who you will, and win at all cost.

Lieberman enabling Republican cover-up?

Joe Lieberman was first out of the box to condemn President Clinton for diddling with Monica Lewinsky. So why is Holy Joe, self-appointed judge of morality, now trying to protect House Speaker Dennis Hastert? Why doesn’t he want Democrats to demand answers about the Republican leadership protecting ex-Congressman Foley when they knew he had been sexually harassing Congressional pages? By giving them aid and comfort, Lieberman appears to be enabling the Republican cover-up. Why in the world would he do that? Unless he's a turncoat.

Well of course...

Well of cours Lieberman does not want this Foley thing to be a partisan thing. Has everyone forgotten that Lieberman left the Democratic Party after it deselected him, and that he is planning to run against both the Democrats and the Republicans in his next electoral campaign?

OF COURSE he is going to try to make out that EVERTHING is spoiled by partisan politics and that only a wise old head like that of Joe Lieberman can truly represent voters of Connecticut.

I'll Give It A Shot

fournier...

perhaps you aren't equipped to detect the subtle cynicism of so many Salon articles but I am.

Funny how no one comments on the remarks made by the pages's FAMILY.

-- joe

How about this, Joe. The page's family are a bunch of pedophile coddlers. If they didn't want anything to become of their revealing these e-mails, they should never have revealed them to begin with. I guess they would rather have Foley continue to harass other boys instead of having any accountablity. Oh and I love the Rebubs using the families wishes to excuse their investigating these e-mails further. Priceless

OK then Joe, how big is yours?

'Just lightweight banter' and 'harmless' chit chat is it??

Let the 'new' Congressional members bring in their own children, hey how about using Santorums kids for example

he's got a bunch to choose from,

and have a public hearing where all the boys are asked to take out rulers and see who's got the biggest penis???

And Joe can give the winner a bipartisan medal.

FOLEY, HARRIS, NELSON:FLORIDA'S THREESOME

When you have a 75-point lead in the polls and you’re running against the likes of Florida’s very own political psychotic. Let us not assume she is not the only pol in the “Land of Nod” ready for at least a legislative session confinement (that’s 60-days?) in a booby hatch.

Hell, there’s Mark Foley. He barely has one foot on the Titanic and the other somewhere near a body cavity of RNCC chair Tom Reynolds. He’s now losing by 15-points in his bid for reelection, according to political bookmakers.

…It’s been confirmed…Krazy Kitty is an idiot she’s thrown $10mil of her own dough into her Senate campaign…Members of Harris’ family have filed court papers seeking a competency hearing….

Our Senator, Bill Nelson, for those who don’t know he’s a member of that other party—you guess right, he is a Democrat. Is running an ad (Hopefully, I’ll configure this damn thing right so you can see it for yourselves), I paraphrase:

It doesn’t matter about special interests or what corporations want. What D&Rs do. You just have to care about people. The ad is scrawled with headlines—the beatitudes according to Bill. Message: All I want to do is help people. Well, Bill Nelson does. He gives and gets. He gets a proctor scoping from those pesky special interests and corporations. He gives one when he asks them to fork-up and pay the tab. The getting hurts more than the giving, just ask Foley.

DSCC NATIONAL FUNDRAISING

His dole details—“the gett”—special interest group contributions. Pay attention to the top three: banking, financial, and real estate, followed by lawyers and lobbyist, as well as ideology single issue.

This election has already been won. Most likely the Democrats, in light of the Iraq War and Foley-gate will win majorities in the Senate and possibly in the House. But, the special interests have already won, without one vote cast.

This may feed a ravenous Democratic base and “K Streeters’” waiting unendlessly for a just a sliver of a piece of government pie so long denied.

The the IRS 527s are a new political beast—shill groups, they’ve verged their heads in Florida. If they are a toxic polluter, or a tobacco company, you might think twice about voting for a candidate they support. Hey guys, come out of the cript!

The Service Employees International Union has organized an IRS 527. The Right-wing has chararcterized such groups as well as Air America and Jones Network Radio as part of the “Vast Left Wing Conspiracy.” It is not a “Vast Left Wing or Left Wing Conspiracy?” “It’s a vast $$$$$ conspiracy.”

BACK TO FLORIDA’S SLENDER OR SIMPLE, YOU PICK.

Let’s give a little fact check to the “Don’t Mess with "Fighting for Florida" Bill Bluster.” Sources for our little hither and yon tip-toe through the numbers: Nelson’s Funhouse as mentioned depict a special interest feign.

I did not go through the PAC contributors with a fine-tooth comb. The troubling contributions were Agribusinesses spewing pesticides and fertilizer pollutants along the Mississippi River to the Louisiana Delta. ln Florida there is the environmental and contaminated Fenholloway River in Taylor County. Nelson received the endorsement of the League of Conservation voters. LCV, if they had looked at Nelson’s environmental record should have withheld its endorsement. In this race with Nelson holding such a wide lead suspending the endorsement would have sent a message. Equally troubling is $26,000 from Alonso Fanjul, whose companies are major polluters of the Everglades.

He received campaign cash from Florida Citrus, Florida Sugar Cane League, American Sugar Cane League, National Cattlemen Association, CXS Corporation, Raytheon, and Bechtel.

I like oranges with sugar, sprinkled with cattle, a dash of limestone?, with pesticides turned into a defense weapon or base,? poison lollipop?

Nelson has not joined environmentalist and the EPA in a cleanup of the Fenholloway River even though tests show that despite a pulp mill's denials, it is releasing lots of dioxin.

A pulp mill is releasing 200 times more deadly dioxin than the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency considers safe, according to government test results.

Dioxin, an industrial poison that can cause cancer and harm wildlife, is coming from the Buckeye Cellulose mill. Tennessee-based Buckeye Cellulose tried to block the government from releasing test results. Buckeye claimed that the EPA's finding of water and sludge at its Perry plant were "confidential business information.

Here’s Mr. Nelson’s record; but he have to vote for him since he’s the only alternative to Krazy Kitty Kathy –Foley is a Democrat—Harris.

Or, what people could do is abstain. I wonder if Davis has tried to hit Nelson up for money. I bet Nelson said, no, even though he has $10 million COH .

Nelson's a nitwit, possibly as a result of his days as a pilot and space shuttle passenger. We need to know whether there is a correlation between thrust of entering space and reentry. The question relates to diminishing IQ points. For arguments sake, let’s assume Nelson has a normal IQ of between 100 to 110, at the low end IQs of 80 or below is considered mental retardation. At a 90 IQ—one standard deviation from the mean--is below normal.

So, you eldercockers and non-eldercockers, you have choice come Election Day. You can elect DUMbo or Krazy Kitty Kathy to the U.S. Senate; JEB! legatee, Charlie Crist, instead of Mr. Ambien, Jim Davis, as our next Governor. (Personally, I think a pol who sleeps all day is better than a right-wing nut with baggage. Whose recent ad say he wants to go after "sexual predators".) The piasta resistance for the voters in Congressional District 16 you can still vote for Mark Foley, and those who live in District 23 can vote for Alcee Hastings who endorsed GOP Speaker Denny Hastert.

My Mama told me never to trust wrestling coaches.
