Certain parts of the world?

Those silly foreigners: how could they interpret "Wanted: Dead or alive" as meaning that we desired to capture someone, either deceased or corporeally intact? It's funny how they misunderstand English sometimes.

I forgot Bush was in town until five military helicopters flew over our balcony this morning. I had some uncomfortable flashes of Gitmo for a minute or two. Thankfully, making inane comments on progressive blogs isn't illegal (yet).

"whatever you want to read in the paper"

That explains a lot about Bushie's worldview: He reads what he wants to read; sees what he wants to see; believes what he wants to believe.

The whole press conference was remarkable. I was tempted to start blogging just so I could walk through answer by answer the childishness, the nastiness, the cluelessness. It was truly something to save for future historians.

Bush dumb-speak

I'm sorry to say; anytime this bozo has a primetime address

of any kind, i'm hopeing against hope the world is eating or in the bathroom. He sounds like my f-n plumber just before his blood sugar goes haywire. It just goes to show you this clown is a cardboard cutout in the Potomkin village they call the White House.

This totally reminds me of that one time...

Bush and Congress cut the funding to that Department of Energy program for renewable fuels, and the fired all the staff, and then Bush came for a visit so Congress had to give them their money back so Bush could visit them and say what an awesome program they had. Don't you remember that? That was so awesome.

Once again,

...Bush blames somebody else for things he said or did. This time it's his wife.

The President Misunderdeciderates on bin Laden

In a world of uncertainty, it is good to know the president is unwavering in his search for Osama bin Laden or not. It is only a matter of time until we find the man who is or is not the head of a terrorist command structure, whether the CIA is looking for him or not. The President stands by his words: We want him dead or alive or not no matter what Laura says or what the rest of the world thinks.

re: Dead or alive, more or less

And we're not going to stop looking [for bin Laden] so long as I'm the president."

I have the sinking feeling that Bush means exactly what he says: as long as he's president, we'll never stop looking-- i.e., Bush will never find Osama bin Laden, so we'll be perpetually "looking" for him.

Pure Bush Shit

Bush and his crew care about only one thing-MONEY. Bin Laden is not money; only a way to get more of it for the fascists in OUR White House. While you pay $3.00+ for gas, do you support our occupation of Iraq?

"Meh," said President Bush, when asked about possible plans to capture bin Laden.

Next year

I have a feeling George Bush and Osama bin Laden will do a duet of Anything You Can do I Can Do Better at the Washington Press Association Dinner.
