Morgan of FOX Out-Coulters Coulter
Anyone who lost a family member on 9/11 ahould be outraged that Melanie Morgan would attribute such vengful behavior to them.
-
Neo-Cons?
Neo-Nazis would be a better description of Morgan, Coulter and those they admire. Nobody could ever assume that the resurrection of Hitlers ideals would happen in what the world admireD (capital D on purpose) as the standardbearer of freedom. Should we wait for the swastica? I hope not.

Melanie Morgan - where do they keep finding these people
As for other editors "responsible for leaking national security classified information"? Morgan says she'd like to see them "locked in a steel cage with the family members of slain troop members who would happily deliver the ultimate punishment of death."
Does this mean we get the death penalty for the leakers of Valerie Plame, too? Anybody see any real difference? How many "spies" that she was in contact with during her career have quietly disappeared? Does anybody care about what happens to our spy network when the Whitehouse so callously serves them up for lunch? Will we have any credible espionage for the next ten years, due to this case? Do they care?
As usual the Republicans will totally screw up the country and then when they hand it over to the democrats, blame us for everything. Now they have the posers pretending to be actual newscasters to back up their lies. When are the people going to stand up and vomit every time they talk about anything?
Do the so called "Christians" see anything wrong with this continuing picture of violence spouted by these people? Are they mentally ill?
Fourth of July indeed. My family is from the Mayflower. They are all rolling over and over in their graves with what is going on in this country today.

Republican anguish is a sham
Republican anger over the reports on government trolling through financial records is explainable, in my view, only by the ignorance that seems to be a characteristic of the typical member of the Congress.
George Bush has on many occasions referred to government programs aimed at detecting and tracking the flow of "terrorist" money around the globe. SWIFT has openly posted evidence of such programs and its cooperation with them on its web site, and it had done so long before the Republicans suffered their media-induced heartburn. Apart from this positive evidence that financial tracking has been a longtime tool of Bush administration policy, there is the fact that any person or organization having any knowledge of the techniques or the existence of forensic accountancy would expect that his financial transactions would be subject to United States government interest.
The Bush administration is angered, not by revelation, but by the framing of this data dredging operation as an activity that violates the law and the Constitution. A president who asserts the right to do as he pleases for the duration of a "war on terror" need not apologize for do something. But he will be outraged by the suggestion that he has become a criminal by doing that something.

Really?
"As for other editors "responsible for leaking national security classified information"? Morgan says she'd like to see them "locked in a steel cage with the family members of slain troop members who would happily deliver the ultimate punishment of death."
And...how about the members of Bush's administration who are responsible for leaking classified information? I'm sure Valerie Plame is happy to hear that the right wingers are so fired up about getting to the bottom of leaks.

what the...?
...fuck?
Who the hell is Melanie Morgan? Ah, watadoo set me straight.
Another AM radio loser? Where do they find these people, under rocks?
GeeZUS, these people are really crazy. I can't help wondering if there will be a day at some point soon when this kind of thing just isn't tolerated. I don't remember hearing this kind of shit in media when I was growing up.
Are Morgan and Coulter and all the rest of their ilk what we have to suffer through for a little bit of fun in the 60s and 70s? Hm. On reflection, I suppose it's worth it.
But soon, very soon I think, Coulter and Morgan and all the rest will be slinking back under their rocks... I guess I like to think this society won't tolerate that kind of idiocy indefinitely.
But, then, sometimes, impossibly, I'm an optimist.

Typical
One conservative commentator calls for the death penalty for NYTimes reporters (tongue in cheek, no doubt) and poor little Tim seizes the opportunity to slam the entire nation with a sarcastic "God bless America".
I admire your penchant for self-loathing Tim, and it's well deserved, obviously, but try to resist forcing it on the rest of us.
Sincerely,
Another of your despised contrymen,
Chris

Shameful
Let's see our beloved legislature has engaged in spirited, lively debate on gay marriage, flag burning, and how to ensure that media only print the news that an autocratic administration deems fit to print. And their gonna give themselves a raise!
Larger and significantly more important issues need to be addressed. Many need to first, read the constitution so that they are reminded that we do have laws and used to have protections. Then they need to deal with actual issues as opposed to using their, hopefully fleeting, legislative control to do something useful.

Let's See a trial
I for one would like to see a formal investigation and trial. There is no other way that I will be able to convince myself that Carl Rove is not behind this leak, much like the CIA agent leak.
The White House had a program which was generating no political capital, and now the program is both showing that the Administration was actually doing something, and they have some ammunition to use against the New York Times. Let's put some reporters in jail and see who their sources actually were. My guess, is that it will be the White House again. Why? Because Carl Rove and Dick Cheney are still operating the administration and this is the type of thing that they do.

Typical
But why are these same people not similarly up in arms about the divulging of a CIA operative's identity? Should Robert Novak not also be subject to the death penalty, using her argument?
The bottom line is that we have no reason whatsoever to trust our current leaders. NONE! They've proven themselves time and again to be criminals who continue to perpetrate their crimes upon the American people. I'm sick of it. We all should be sick of it. I shudder to think what privacy-destroying programs they've undertaken that we DON'T know about yet.
As far as I'm concerned, the people divulging information about this administration's crimes are freedom fighters who should be hailed as heroes! They are helping to protect the freedoms our forefathers fought and died for.
