Rush Limbaugh and the little blue pill

As scandals go, this one leaves us limp.

Weighing in on Slimebaugh (pardon the pun) - yes he was there for prostitution.

El Tigre is incorrect. The Dominican Republic is not a low populated island. DR is the most heavily populated central American country. The Dominican Republic can also boast with dubious pride in having the FOURTH largest sex trade/traffiking in the world. By all accounts it is literally impossible to be any man of any age in the DR and not be heavy-handedly solicited continuously everywhere they go. One need only surf through the bevy of not only sex tourist websites, but in fact governmental, humane and aid documentation and reports to understand the magnitude of prostitution in the DR and it's lax regulation.

Unlike notorious Asian countries such as Thailand and the Phillipines, it is not the focus of humane organizations and govermental anti-sextrafficing efforts - most particularly with respect to child prostitution.

Sure, the beaches are nice. But that's NOT what men go there for - particularly one that lives in a mansion on Palm Beach.

Therefore it most certainly is a realistic (and obvious) question as to exactly the private jet of the defacto head of the Slime Party was doing stopping in the Dominican Republic where he was found with illegal Viagra, and exactly what he was buying there that couldn't be bought in Las Vegas - with respect to both drugs AND prostitution.

I suppose it's needless to add that "Christian" phonies like James Dobson and Jerry Falwell and Ralph Reed (allegedly another international porn star) won't be asking this question - which in effect makes them morally bankrupt on par with the Archbishops that buried the Priest scandals - at least it does in my book of judgement.

Q: why does the American left keep losing elections?

Answer: Grieve's "we're too good to take advantage of this" type of limp-wristed non-response.

For chrissakes people, what's up with the Queensbury rules while the other side swings with brass knuckles? The Republicans and their media echo chamber never fail to go for the jugular, while we don't even have the balls to kick our opponents in the balls given the chance?

Had this happened to say an Al Franken, you can bet that Rush and his ilk would be all over the story and Franken would be laughed off the air. Had it happened to a prominent Democrat you can bet it would be used to devastating effect during his next campaign, probably with the help of some "swift-boat" type of operation.

What was said of the Palestinians many years ago can definitely be said of the Democrats and the American left today: "They never lose an opportunity to lose an opportunity."

Unfortunately, natural selection seems to take forever to weed out the weaklings and idiots who are dragging us right down into the wingnuts' jaws.

El Tigre, who exactly is "RUSS"?

It's "RUSH"

Just look to find more to the story...

If the story of Rush Limbaugh taking a bottle of Viagra to the Domincan Republic leaves you limp, then it is because you are not asking the obvious questions: How many prostitutes did Limbaugh buy in the Dominican Republic? Does Limbaugh prefer foriegn prostitutes over American prostitutes? Did Limbaugh travel to the Dominican Republic for child prostitutes? Does Limbaugh feel like he was supporting the troops in Iraq by having sex with children in the Dominican Republic? Did Jeff Gannon go to the Dominican Republic with Limbaugh? Did Rush Limbaugh write off his child prostitutes as a business expense?

Ask these questions of Rush Limbaugh, or use his own tactics and just report, "People are saying that Rush Limbaugh had sex with child prostitutes in the Dominican Republic."

Russ and the DR--a reply

Thanks Moira.

Yes I have seen some of the reports compiled by organizations like ECPAT, but I suspect that a lot of their data is untrustworthy.

The reason for this is that the people who run various interest groups have a financial interest in producing sensational and exaggerated reports.

Only last week a news item in Dominican Today claimed that there are 200,000 Dominican prostitutes in Europe and 50,000 in the Caribbean. Based on the DR population of about 9 million, this would mean that something like 1 in 17 of ALL Dominican women is working as a prostitute overseas, and that Dominican prostitutes are one of the largest ethnic groups in the whole Caribbean. Absurd!

I can only comment on what I have seen in the DR. I do not think it is true that underage girls are being "sold" to wealthy visitors.

I do know, for example, of at least two cases where girls who appeared to be very physically mature for their age were using false ID documents that represented them as being older than they really were and were freelancing as prostitutes. However, deplorable as this might be, these were young mothers making money to support their children--no Medicaid or welfare in the DR-- and in no way were they being "sold." Nor did the men concerned know that they were underaged.

Technically speaking these young women were "children", but in no way would they have appealed to pedophiles.

I also know of two cases in which expatriates living locally in the DR have had girlfriends who were under the age of 18, but when a girl is living with a man who is supporting her and her child, it is doubtful whether this comes under the heading of prostitution.

The professional pedophile hunters tend to take all such cases, multiply them by 10, and count them as child abuse, when the reality is much more complex.

As I have a ten-year-old Dominican stepdaughter, I can assure you that if anyone even thought about selling here to a tourist, there would be hell to pay, and this is how nearly all Dominican families feel. I would want any pedophile who thinks that his kind is welcome in the DR to think again, and to consider that vigilante justice has by no means gone out of fashion there.

Prescription Fraud

Rush's admitted, paroled-for crime was medical prescription fraud. And now he gets caught, blue-handed, in prescription fraud again, only a couple months after his deal with the prosecutor. That ain't right. It ain't murder, but it ain't chopped liver, neither.

You're wrong, el tigre

I suggest that you spend some time researching documents published by the US government, as well as the UN and other international organizations, on the sex trade. Yes, the DR - and other countries as you point out - have different standards than ours regarding prostitution. That does not alter the fact that children are a large part of the sex trade in the DR, and these children are sold to rich men from rich countries who wouldn't dream of purchasing a child on their home turf. Limbaugh could have gone to Vegas - but he didn't. Why not? The correct application of Ockam's Razor is that he was there for something he couldn't easily get here - or perhaps he needed the anonymity. Limbaugh has had several beautiful wives, and has a beautiful girlfriend HERE. He didn't have to go to the DR for beautiful female companionship, but he did. WHY?

Do you know anything about Limbaugh that has a souce other than the MSM? Have you ever watched him at a media dinner and saw how he completely ignored his wife - as if she literally were not there? (Maureen Dowd had dinner with him once. She said that he treated her as if she literally were not there, and that he was incapable of talking about anything other than himself.) After he was busted several years ago, his then wife (who is a fitness instructor) claimed that she knew nothing about his addictions, and knew nothing about the numerous times he had spent checked into Betty Ford type clinics in an attempt to get cleaned up. It doesn't sound like he had a real marriage. It sounds like these women - and the honey from CNN - are what official Washington calls a beard.

We also know that Limbaugh is a tower of mendacity and hypocrisy; and he sports a head full of bad wiring. The simplest explanation is that Limbaugh has (once again) been caught doing something he shouldn't be doing.
