Poor sap!
He's in way over his head. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost.
Sucker.

Snow Job
Reporter: Mr. Snow, would you care to comment on allegations that you are in fact the White House press secratary?
Snow: Well, as the new kid on the block, I'm going to have to refrain from commenting on an on-going investigation. We are not going to jeoparize security by commenting on a continuing investigation. I'll have to get back to you on that.

More of the same from more of the same.....

Press or stenography
If these people had any backbone at all, they'd stop showing up for these things, and instead go out and try and actually report news. And I include Helen Thomas in that assessment.

Not the best man for the job
I can't believe they hired this guy over Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf (http://www.welovetheiraqiinformationminister.com/).

Tougher on the Inside
It appears Mr. Snow is quickly finding out it's tougher to actually work for and "defend" this administration from the inside as opposed to spinning and opining lovingly about it from the outside.

The Joy of Monday Morning Quarterbacks
I bet the job looked a whole lot easeier when he viewed the press conferences from his comfy chair over at FOX. He probably sat there thinking, "Boy I know I could do a better job then that. I know just what to say that question." Like most backseat drives his finding that it a bit harder then it looks. On the other hand you have to question the brainpower of anyone who would actually want the job.

What network?
Sounds really foxy. But what else did we expect, more lies, more evasions, more lousy PR.

Friendly advice for Tony Snow
Message to Tony: As likeable as you are , the honeymoon stage of your relationship with the press is now already over! And it's your fault. I don't think you can even begin to repair such an inauspicious "new kid on the block" beginning. You're a nice man but presently you look a bit of a fool.
Listen, find a principled position on any number of issues )facing the White House ASAP(read the morning headlines!) and resign; save what's left of your career.

No Followup?
What I find interesting is the lack of followup questions by the White House steno- uh, reporters. The administration says they can't confirm if a massive phone-call collection efort has been done, and the spokescreature says that is because it would affect the operational matters. Uh, if such a program doesn't exist, why would there be any operational concenrs? And if there are operational concerns, doesn't that confirm that something is going on?
The press corps needs for a change to bring in some reporters who are capable of covering a county commission meeting or asking questions of a sheriff. instead of socialites who are used to having their "news" spoon-fed to them.
